Was shocked to experience what I experienced

This place was highly recommended by The Uber driver and then the Hilton next door

I had already gone to the Denny's diner right next door and they were very respectful

This place was loud and ridiculous and disorganized

And really suggested people who are not very high-functioning that don't understand the value of listening👂🏽

But worse yet was the fact that because of my long-haired due to my religion and my India ethnic appearance/only slightly taller and dressed simply nonetheless

Nobody asked me if I wanted to be seated nobody approached me they had a problem approaching me to have a problem

They were mostly lighter-skinned Puerto Rican Americans - But amazingly they have this snobbishness about speaking Spanish... Which people don't all learn in America especially asian-americans that will learn other languages at home in English at school They don't want to talk to you unless you speak Spanish... I've noticed that a lot in 3 weeks in Puerto Rico... So nobody seated me... And I ordered to go with Ashley at the pickup counter and tipped her more than 10% for nothing but taking an order... Which translates into an hourly pay rate of something like 50 an hour... I mean it took her only a few minutes to take the order...with a beverage to wait outside and then I noticed that a small table for two had just opened up on the side corner Obviously I'd rather sit there waiting or having my dinner rather than waiting outside or going back to the hotel next door It was hot and humid and muggy outside I didn't want to eat at the benches by the water fountain ⛲ next door Since nobody was helping me and I wanted to sit down I seen myself happily with my drinking hand and my receipt for my $40 in purchases They are very abusive at this place-a man that I identified the next day to be the manager came storming over saying loudly "can I help you?" I explained to him that nobody had seated me and had ordered pick up to go...Rather be seated here... And given the fact there was nobody waiting in a line or No reservations... It seemed OKAY He got louder than me saying that these tables were for people waiting and I said yeah I ordered... Then he yelled at me and said "Let me see your receipt!" And then when I gave it to him he questioned me as to why there were so many Cokes?! Out Loud... He seemed to enjoy abusing me in front of the local Puerto Ricans like somebody to put down... And they don't have third-party delivery so clearly I wasn't picking up somebody else's order... He loudly said "^You have a lot of Food here!" ..."Three Cokes"... And he wasn't using any sense of humour but rather he was suggesting that I was a pickup worker/ though they don't have third-party delivery there... Or perhaps this was intended to be a pickup for a group and they're not there with me... And then he was just clowning me... Trying to find fault with me.... Like I ordered a lot of drinks or I ordered a lot of food... Like there's something wrong with me for that but I'm staying in a hotel with a microwave and a fridge... Or that the reality was there was another group waiting and I wasn't supposed to sit there and eat my share first...?! Kept getting amped up with me... He walked away and the first server came and just dumped my food and went away without any words or eye contact... These people were so prejudiced they were suggesting that I ordered pick up without a tip just to sit there and not tip the waitress... A waitress came but she never came again I showed her some single dollars and told her I could tip+... Horrible service she never came back... I told another waitress to give her this 3 but that there was already 8.57 at checkout so they need to share the nearly 22% tip Was condescending/saying leave it there not understanding Ashley had $5.57... I called the restaurant... Turns out the RUDE man was the manager! He said "I know who you ARE"..."I remember you"... I disconnected.... Stating I will talk to Hilton front desk management- They...

Do you notice there's no photo of the food I bought? Want to take a guess why? Correct!! I ate it too fast!! 😋 Guys and Girls just go. You won't be disappointed!!

Pros:

It's been open for years so you wont have to worry about showing up and finding out its closed like other restaurants. Food tastes Great. Dominican Restaurant but with strong Puerto Rico styling and flavoring. The perfect mix for many im sure. Classy, clean, and impeccable service. The waiter was not pushy or asking if everything was ok mid bite every couple minutes. Yet, he somehow knew exactly when he was needed. They have a great waiter to table ratio and you dont see stressed staff trying to catch up which I give management credit for maintaining. It was a pretty busy Friday night too.

Cons:

I bought the Mofongo con Pernil which came out great but unfortunately did not come with rice. I recommend paying for the rice as a side because it goes well with the Pernil and the Mofongo alone wasn't enough to fill this 6ft Puerto Rican 😅 Its in Condado and if you know Condado you know the parking sucks and there's usually traffic in and out. I almost paid $7 for parking but found a spot on a side street 2 blocks away.

My YouTube channel --- Oro Flows --- has little to do with food but I do visit Waterparks including 2 of the Biggest in Puerto Rico. If you found this review helpful check out my page for some unique ideas for fun around the island and states.

Also next door is an epic PR Flag painted building (see photos) like the one that was/is in Miami. Great for that tourist photo you can show off to...

0 STARS!!!! I have never had such a bad experience. I literally left the restaurant crying.

First my 8 year old daughter ordered a jugo de limon. Instead she noticed after quite a few sips that it tasted different. The drink she received was an alcoholic beverage.

The waitress took the orders of 3 tables who got there 15-20 min after us. Never came to ask for our food order even when we called her. Our drinks were empty for most of the night. Never once came to ask for a refill or drink orders, just kept walking past us, even when I called her.

Finally when the food arrives it was almost 2 hours from when we got there. The tables who arrived after us had already left. We had no silverware and the waitress was Nowhere to be seen. My husband ate his dish with his hands! When we finally were able to ask the waitress for silverware she said ok and proceeded to clean 2 tables, while watching him eat with his hands.

I see who I assume is a manager and flag them down to tell them what happened. No silver wear, being ignored, food taking forever, my daughter being given alcohol, etc. the manager begins to YELL at me about how I must be making it up and talking over me. He was so mean and condescending I asked him why are you yelling at me when I’m trying to tell you my experience. He started to argue and we just asked for boxes and the check.

It was so embarrassing having this man yell at me in front of all the customers. Everyone was staring at us. I will never come back and will encourage anyone I see to not visit either. It’s so sad because the...
