Wonderful casual chic atmosphere, soft lounge music, wide selections of wines. Loved their Sangria. Had for appetizer the Fried Calamarie and Fish Ceviche for main course. Portions were substancial and excellently seasoned. Our waiter was Magdiel. Friendly and cortious however somewhat detached from the service. He was more concerned with a side job (wines) and some other customers/visitors? (girls on the outside tables). Nevertheless would have given a 4 star review had not for the huge disappointmet at our parking experience. Following the instruction on a sign at the restaurant entrance that parking was available behind the pizza Birra place, we moved on our car towards the Birra place, were we saw another sign about valet. We waited some 5 minutes inside the car as we did not know if parking was valet or by ourselves. In the absense of an attendant, we decided to park ourselves behind the Birra establishment. We noticed all parking spaces said private. But a person (62 years old tough guy) said he worked for Birra and when we told him we were going to Ceviche Market said could park in a corner slot he signaled. However when we returned to our car another guy (who also said worked for the pizza place) started to angrily shout at us saying we has parked on private property. We tried to explain to him the why/when/who but the guy seemed not listening/caring about our explanation. So our experience on first visit would be also the last. A restaurant experience is defined not only by the food and drinks but the service received. And our was lacking...
Read moreLet me start with that this is my first not so great review. A coworker of mine, recommended Ceviche, and walking by this place I convinced my husband that we should try it. I never had Ceviche, so I don't have a comparison. That said, I liked the mixed Ceviche. My husband on the other hand, had the Causa de Pollo and was not impressed, to say the least. The portion size was somewhat disappointing and more like a lunch or snack. Though prices were dinner prices and I would have expected a little bit more. As I said, this was the first time we ate in this restaurant and we didn't know what we ordered. There were no pictures on the menu nor did anybody explain to us what we were about to order. Our waiter Yari, was very friendly (that's why I was giving a two star in the service category), but the rest of the waiters were rude and behaved stuck up, anything but inviting. The tables were too close to each other and walking to the beer selection in the back, I bumped in a few chairs (and I'm an average size). Talking about the beer selection though, I was very pleasantly surprised by their assortment. They even had German beer! The wall decor and the music were nice but that is not why I visit a restaurant. All in all, this experience was not a good one and in the future we will avoid this restaurant and will not recommend it to...

I had the pleasure of dining at Ceviche Market Cocina Peruana during my visit to San Juan, and it was an unforgettable experience! The restaurant offers a wide variety of authentic Peruvian dishes, with their ceviche being the star of the show. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor, exactly what I was hoping for.
The ambiance was welcoming and vibrant, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed yet memorable meal. I also highly recommend trying their coconut mojito, which was the best I’ve ever had.
The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had a great experience from start to finish. Whether you’re a fan of Peruvian cuisine or looking to try something new, Ceviche Market Cocina Peruana is a must-visit when...
