Hands down, the best experience I have ever had at a restaurant! We had roof-top reservations for dinner, however it was storming when we arrived. We were initially seated inside and greeted by the manager Javier. He assured us we would be able to experience the breathtaking view. The accent lighting contributed to the overall ambiance, and we felt nothing but positive vibes. Our waiters for the evening were Jose O. and Robert B. They went the extra distance to get to know us on a personal level and made us feel welcomed. My daughter's Spanish is not the greatest, but Jose helped her with her request for "mantequilla"--- she said something totally different, and we learned a lot from her mistake! We started with the Fried Plantain Tostones which were surprisingly appetizing. It paired well with La Fresca. After finishing our appetizer, Javier escorted us to the rooftop. He wiped down our seats, and ensured we were comfortable. We dined poolside. Jose and Robert brought out the main entrees. We both ordered the Lobster Risotto, which was prepared to perfection. The lobster was exquisite, and melted in my mouth. Both waiters attended to our needs promptly and frequently. We thoroughly enjoyed the night so much that we didn't want it to end. Robert suggested a location where we could dance the night away. I personally want to thank each one of you for making my 50th birthday memorable. Many service workers do not receive the credit they deserve; Jose and Robert were exceptional! And to see the manager on the floor interacting with guests was also a delightful surprise; kudos to you as well Javier. I highly recommend and we...
Read moreLast night was my girlfriend’s @cassnead birthday 🎂 dinner at @eterlounge in #sanjuanpuertorico🇵🇷 The ambience and views of the City was spectacular and breathtaking. The hostess was amazing, she helped maneuver the sitting 🪑 arrangement for 2 parties of 4 to sit together. Butttttt the overall service was subpar and not up to any type of standard to match the beautiful views of San Juan. The Pina Colada’s and Passion Fruit Daiquiri we’re watery and no flavor. I ordered 2 @titosvodka @malibu_rum and #pineapple the drinks were disappointing. The waiter for didn’t add my appetizer that I order with my drinks 🍹 that took me 42 minutes to get my 1st round of cocktails. My meal took over an hour to get or meal. @cassnead order the #skirtsteak with chef’s chimichurri and traditional Spanish rice and beans. This meal was actually good. I ordered Chicken 🐓 Fricasse Croquettes. This is shredded chicken balls fried in cornmeal. This was bad, it was okay 👍🏿. The menu didn’t have any description of the ingredients. Okay now for the finale my friend @rose_rosej78 ordered Seafood Pasta 🍝 with rose 🌹 sauce. She specifically told the waiter no mussels and calamari. One ☝🏼 and a half later the meal came with mussels and calamari. @rose_rosej78 explained to the waiter that her meal was wrong and the waiter started arguing with her that he placed the order correctly. OMG 😳 stay away from this place if you’re looking for a good meal and drinks. no es bueno I have a couple more things that happened, but you get the point…. #2_forks_1_plate #sanjuan #puertorico🇵🇷 #nogood...
Read moreWe had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant, and it all started at the front door with the hostess, Leslie. We had made a reservation through the hotel’s front desk, who confirmed they had secured a table for us. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told there was no record of our reservation. While mistakes happen, the way Leslie handled the situation was shockingly rude and unprofessional.
Instead of offering to help resolve the issue or even just acknowledging the mix-up with some basic courtesy, she immediately became defensive and dismissive. She barely looked at us when we explained the situation and cut us off mid-sentence with a sharp, “We don’t have anything under that name.” When we tried to explain that the hotel had made the reservation, she rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and mumbled under her breath — clearly annoyed that we were even speaking to her.
Her tone was cold and condescending throughout the entire exchange. She made no effort to verify with the hotel or offer any solution. Instead, she stood there with crossed arms, making us feel like we were inconveniencing her by simply showing up. The whole interaction was uncomfortable and unnecessarily hostile. We ended up leaving because we didn’t feel welcome at all.
A hostess is the first point of contact and sets the tone for the entire dining experience — Leslie completely failed in that role. I wouldn’t return here, and I would strongly caution others to be prepared for unprofessional treatment if she’s the one greeting you...
