Was excited to try this place and get a little work done on my computer. The place is very cute and cozy. But i tried to order an iced americano, but the barista didn’t understand what it was (i saw americano was not on the menu). I explained espresso over ice, basically. I wanted a flavor shot too. He asked if i wanted an iced coffee, and i was like sure - then asking if he meant cold press. He hasnt heard of cold press either. But then he asked if i wanted one or two shots. I said 2. So ice americano, right? My total was $8. All i wanted was a simple 2 shots over ice with a shot of vanilla. Should have been $4 according to the menu (Espresso $2, x-shot $1, flavor $1). I tried to get an understanding as to why as I was charged so much, but i guess i got charged the “fancy” iced coffee drink plus vanilla and extra shot. Not sure how that works, but he said all iced drinks costs way more like Starbucks (I dont go to starbucks), was this an assumption? I’ve been a barista for many years. An americano is a classic espresso drink that costs a fraction more than a coffee. A cold press, which they dont have would cost a bit more, but not $8.
My drink was delicious and tasted like an iced americano with vanilla. The barista was not rude, he was nice and spoke good english. But im just feeling a bit ripped off right now. I understood there might be a miscommunication, so whatever. I shrugged and drank my drink and worked...

Upon taking payment the man pauses to think as he makes up prices down on paper to show me. He then writes in $3.50 for the small Americano and $7.20 for my iced mocha. Yes, probably the most expensive iced mocha in the history of coffee beans, $7 and 20 freaking cents.
Offering my credit card, he then tells me Venmo Paypal or Cash which no sign exists to our eye prior to making the drinks.
I pick my battles and pay without a word. Upon sitting down to drink my friend refused to continue with his Americano. I asked why. There were dog hairs all around the brim.
Edit to owners response: No dog? You have a Large gray dog we saw behind the counter no? Or was that a cat and I am blind? Do you see the hairs in the picture I uploaded?
Do you not see a problem with over $7 for an iced mocha? You did not tell me a squeeze of chocolate would cost more when added to whatever coffee you made. You made the drinks first, then WROTE by hand on paper the final amount. A normal take out coffee shop uses a register that takes credit card, breaks down the prices so we know what we are paying for prior to even making the coffee buddy.

The second time, however, our breakfast took over an hour to come out. After about 40 minutes I went to ask the person at the counter for an update. He claimed that they were really busy and that our food was coming out soon. After another 10 minutes he came back to ask us what we ordered. I asked him if they had even started our food yet, to which he replied, “yes it’s actually coming out now, I just want to make sure I have the right ticket.” Obviously there are a couple things wrong with that. For starters, if our order was “coming out now,” why would they need to ask us what we ordered and write it down again? Second, we gave our name when we ordered, so he could’ve just asked us for the name on the ticket and checked that way if he needed to. Needless to say, our food came out about 15 minutes AFTER that last interaction. It just made me realize that they completely lost our ticket and never actually put our order in.
