An Unforgettable First Visit!
Our first experience at OPA! Greek Restaurant in Condado was absolutely fantastic, and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing waiter, Dennis. From the moment we were seated, Dennis made us feel welcome. He was not only friendly and attentive, but also incredibly patient and knowledgeable about the entire menu. He took the time to walk us through different options, answered all our questions, and gave excellent recommendations that made our meal unforgettable.
We started with the Greek Sampler, which was perfect for trying a variety of classic dips. To our surprise, our favorite was the Melitzanosalata — a delicious, smoky roasted eggplant dip blended with garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and fresh herbs. It was smooth, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the warm pita.
For entrées, we tried the OPA! Chicken Gyro and the Lamb Gyro. Both were incredibly flavorful and expertly seasoned with authentic Greek spices — bold but perfectly balanced, without an overpowering oregano taste. Every bite was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor.
To drink, we had the Mint and Cucumber Lemonade, and wow — it was refreshing, light, and just the right touch of sweet and tart. The fresh mint and cool cucumber made it the perfect companion to our meal.
Dennis truly elevated our experience, and we left not only full, but genuinely impressed. We’ll definitely be back — OPA! is now a new...
Read moreNot many couples eat at the same restaurant two nights in a row but my wife and I did because of the great food and excellent staff. This restaurant is located across the street from the Marriott San Juan. Night number one was memorable because of the family recipe for moussaka and the top notch lamb souvlaki that my wife had. We did make a connection with the staff Natalia, our waitress, Julie, the manager and Fernando, the chef. As we were leaving our first night eating there, we turned to each other and simultaneously said we should come back the next night. Our last in Puerto Rico. The second night did not disappoint. I ordered the pork souvlaki which was not very traditional as it had avocado instead of taziki sauce. Fernando came to our table and asked if I wanted the traditional style, I said yes and as all the other entrees, it was excellent. We recommend Opa highly. A great...
Read moreI had the Mousska and hubby had the lamb gyro. Plus we had the Greek Farm Salad, and the the Greek mezzo with the dips. I’m from Detroit and Greek food had been no part of my family’s food tradition, and I gotta say, the food was excellent, especially the Moussaka. The only small compliant was that when I asked the waiter if the dish came anything, like a salad, he said we had to order that apart. It came with some nice greens on the side and the gyro with French fries, so we didn’t need the two apps. Oh well, leftovers for mañanas. We live very close by and this is now going to become one of my local go tos. Walking through the restaurant, I saw other diners plates and evening looked fresh and delicious. The server was nice and all the staff were very nice and items didn’t take too long, although they warned me mine could take 40 minutes. I guess that’s part of why we...
