I would have given it a 4 star but my last experience was disappointing in regards to the service and the restaurant not looking for customer satisfaction.
I’m not gonna lie about the food tho. I’ve been here a couple of times. The sandwiches are good and I always order the same shake, it’s comfort food.
My most recent experience though, was a let down. This was the first time I took my girlfriend here and I wanted her to have a good experience. One of the reasons that this was a bad experience was that 2 of the sandwiches in the menu were not available, so my girlfriend didn’t know what else to order. This is a concern for the restaurant since they do not have 2 items from their already limited menu on a weekend, which is a day where you have more customers than usual; and as a restaurant owner you should be prepared to deliver when there is high demand.
The other main reason is that my girlfriend ordered one of the shakes and she ended up not liking the taste at all. When I asked the waitress if she could choose another one (because I’m not gonna make my girl drink or eat something she does not like) she said that wasn’t possible unless I paid for another one. Now this in itself is made me uncomfortable since restaurants bring new plates at your request if you’re not satisfied with your food’s quality. But the incident does not end there. So, for context, the restaurant serves you a decent amount of shake or smoothie in a larger container and you pour whatever amount you like in your glass. So my girlfriend initially tasted a small amount of the shake and since she wasn’t going to drink it the waitress took the container back to the kitchen area. I was dumbfounded when seconds later I see the waitress take the same shake to another customer. Now this really angered me since the waitress was charging another customer for the shake I paid for.
That sums up my experience. I hope the owner or someone related reads this so this does not happen...
Read moreLocals you should be fine. Tourists BEWARE. Just because we won’t be regulars doesn’t mean you degrade us. Googlers read until the end for a better recommendation.
We ordered a $30 to go breakfast and tipped the hostess $5. Rather than bring our breakfast back to our Airbnb we decided to enjoy it hot on the sidewalk. I asked the hostess for salt and pepper and she said dismissively “I’m sorry I don’t think we have salt and pepper.” She also said they don’t have “ketchup”. What’s next? They don’t have water? lol
I’m not one to make a scene so I sent my husband to take care of it. He complained forcefully in front of the tourist customers in line “I gave you a $5 tip for a to-go order and you say you don’t have salt and pepper? Really?”
She then apologized and said she was the only person working. And then came out with the salt and pepper.
3 Strikes:
Strike #1 You blatantly lie about not carrying a restaurant staple.
Strike #2 We tipped for good service (mind you, for a to-go order.) You gladly take the tip and stingily proceed to deny us salt and pepper and ketchup. Laughable but pitiful. I’m sure you were taught better manners.
Strike #3 You only complied when I had to get my husband involved and he had to hold you accountable by shaming you for bad behavior.

With that being said, I would highly recommend another breakfast area that is a 1-minute walk away. Piso Viejo. 😊

Read moreI had food ordered from this place hoping for a great breakfast and left with a headache and money lost. I ordered eggs toast and avocado and received eggs on a hero with ham, cheese and avocado… keep in mind I'm vegetarian. So I immediately phoned them to find out how this mixup happened 4 times and got no answer so I got up to return back in person to have my order fixed. When I returned to explain that my order was wrong I was met with nasty attitudes from the waitress with the pink eye shadow and jewels. After telling me that they can’t do anything for me I tried to explain again that maybe they made a mistake I was met with constant denial on their part they snickered and spoke in Spanish right in front of me knowing I didn’t understand. I was nothing but curteous about thr mistake expecting to just receive my correct order, but that did not happen I was told that If I wanted to order again Id have to pay. Im not sure if this place doesn’t take dietary restrictions seriously but Im just saddened that I received no apology, no refund on the untouched food...
