Taberna Los Vázquez — Restaurant in San Juan

4/5/2019.. THE OWNER, needs take a class on respect, hospitality and how to treat his customers...very disrespectful. I left my beer on the bar and when I turned to drink what was left in the cup, it was not there..I addressed the waiters and they all were quiet..The OWNER, which identified himself, stepped and I asked why did he throw my beer out and what he did was ask if I wanted the beer..I said yes. His actions were more DISRESPECTFUL..he opened a bottle anf poured approx. amount in the cup and thats what he gave me...so ok..then I turned around and later asked for the other beer which I had left paid already...and he refused to give me it...I told him I paid for that beer and still wouldnt give it to me...HE WENT AND GOT $5.00 AND GAVE IT TO ME... AS THE OWNER IT IS HIS RESPONSIBILITY TO SHOW HIS EMPLOYEES HOW TO TREAT HIS CUSTOMERS...HE IS A BAD EXAMPLE FOR PUERTORRICAN COMPANIES... I WILL NEVER BUY A BEER OR FOOD AT LA TAVERNA...I WILL GO THERE FOR DANCING. . . This OWNER needs to KNOW that WE the customers provide him with more business FREE OF CHARGE with our VOICE.. I will never recommend his place...

This place is always bustling with activity. Authentic salsa band on the weekends; Karaoke band on Thursdays, as a preamble. You can't fail because it's always fun. I took a group from various nationalities on a Thursday, and everybody ended up dancing salsa, merengue, reggaeton, and even plena! One of my guests was Italian, so the leader of the karaoke band covered an Eros Ramazzotti song, very close to the original! There's also great carne frita, pollo frito and tostones at great prices! If you're looking for local flavor and an authentic experience, you can't go wrong with...

Only place i found on my trip that did not like to serve people from the States. We were obviously ignored, then greeted with hostile attitude while locals got great attention. The atmosphere was exactly what my wife and i where expecting and wanted. Live music,dancing and a taste of the PR culture. To bad that out of my entire trip the the staff here left a negative image of...
