I will lay the foundation of why not to go here; however, before you begin to think that my reason for not liking the place has to do with being bias, or in any reason does not have empirical evidence. Your wrong.
1- Service was horrible- What do I mean? Good you asked, first they ask they watch me stand there with my girl for about ten mins and never asked to be seated (granted I was wearing a flamingo shirt, but this is San Juan and I’m a paying customer, frankly semantics). Second, point on service, when I realized I needed to walk in, I asked the waiter (in Spanish) can I get a seat for 2 people and he took out a pen wrote my name down and said, “we will call you”. I asked, “how long is the wait”, and he said “I don’t know whenever we call you, than you will know”.
2- Prejudice- The reason I raised this point has to do with the way me and my girl was dressed and the way I spoke with the waiter. I had a shirt on, which I mention earlier, pink shorts and boat shoes, my girl, purple hair and a nice floral top. You may ask why this matter, well, the look he gave me, I’m conjunction to his demeanor was as if we were beneath him. Moreover, the way other was dressed was your typical, white linen pants, straw hats and guayaberas. Second point on prejudice, when I switch my Spanish to English the looked extremely surprised, and frankly, caught off guard that I was actually not common foe from their neighborhood.
Last point for management- I will advised management that, your price point, and your undertrained, highly discriminatory staff will place you on the verge of loosing market share in a word with social media. I’m fact, 20 more of these negative advertisements will decrease your profits about 20 percent in the next quarter.
For consumers- be advised that you are taking a risk to pay for seafood and a high price point on an island that has seafood everywhere, the question would be to you, and by subject yourself to this culture of disrespect that doesn’t not embody the sheer understanding of what “consumers wants and needs” in a...
Read moreVery unfortunate how locals recommend this place . We were completely profiled by the staff . We walked in wasn’t greeted at all while the accounting lady was busy stapling away receipts and staring at us . So we (2people )sat at a table that had 4 chairs ,standard table & were told we had to move because it was a table for 4 yet the couple next to us was in the same 4 seated table with one chair used for their bottle of wine . We were forced to move to a table that had 3 chairs and one chair missing . We waited 25 mins to only order Fiji bottle that cost $10 & a drink to be completely ignored by staff based on what exactly who knows . They were too busy to attend to us. We felt VERY uncomfortable and we had to leave .The people there are awful & bias towards certain crowds. Also who knows if they purposely gave us paper menus for how nice the place is I can’t believe they don’t have...
Read moreExtremely happy & fortunate that I had the amazing cuisine here. Loved everything about it. Started with the oysters. That brining ocean taste was refreshing. Then the squid-ink rice. Loved that. Could eat that everyday. I also had an amazing mojito. The bartender was like the elder statesman for that place. He luckily gave me the run down. Told me the 3 most poplar things to eat: Queen Snapper, Garlic Prawns, and Squid Ink Rice. Can't wait to go back and try these other dishes. The Salmon with guava sauce look fantastic and the Grilled Octopus Tentacle looked so good as well. Everything that came out of that kitchen looked phenomenal. For dessert: Papaya & Queso with a Cortado. A perfect finish to a perfect meal. Will come back...
