Boronía en la Placita — Restaurant in San Juan

Friends and I went here for dinner. Myself and one other friend ordered the fried red snapper. The Snapper looked amazing. However the cook forgot to take the scales off before he/she seasoned and cooked the fish. It was Absolutely Gross I only took about 2-3 bites and with every bite you couldn't even chew completely because of the scales. Another friend order the beefsteak with onions it looked like under cooked hamburger it did not look appetizing AT All. She sent it back without taking one bite. The only reason I gave the food 2 stars was because my Fourth friend order a ribeye steak and that came out delicious. She was the only one without a compliant. When we notified the manager about the fish he was very apologetic and agreed to take it off the bill since the restaurant had no more snapper and couldn't replace it. For my friend with the beefsteak the manager told her that she is in Puerto Rico and maybe she needs to change her pallet!! None of us will be coming...

When we arrived and sat on the patio, before ordering, two employees were starting at a nearby table and one was smoking. There was no ashtray in any table so I assume smoking is not allowed, and anyway as I have a strong allergy I went inside to tell the server, who offered to sit us inside instead of asking the person not to smoke. That would have been fine if it hasn't been freezing cold with the AC . We ordered food for two, two beers, and I asked for a carafe of water.
