Xolo Taco — Restaurant in San Juan

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I took my kids here on vacation because we were staying at hotel across street. At first glance looked like an authentic Puerto Rican taco shop. Our mouths watered as we waited. That was 45 minutes. We waited and waited and genuinely it got to a point where we thought they forgot about our tacos. Do you would assume the tacos would be great with that amount of prep time right? Wrong. One of my kids tacos was barely full. Not exaggerating she has 3 pieces of chicken and maybe 5 shreads of chicken The others were nothing special. The salsa was terrible. Here’s the worse part also. Customer service very bad, and this review is from today, food was cold tortillas taste too hard and old, i ask for a couple plates in the menu and they were not available, only like 6 customers outside, waiting for the waitress. i been here before and this place has change a lot. Food doesnt taste like before. i will never come back again. No lotes ready for serve but they where in the kitchen table right in front of me, i ask the waitress how long they will take and the guy said they were going to take a looongggg time, each elote cost $9 and i was going for 6 plus my dinner. thank you for nothing and hope not to come back here again bad...

Birria tacos had very minimal birria consomme, served in a very small, less than half-filled metal container in the size usually used for for a side order of ketchup. The taco itself was tasty, which is the only reason for a 2-star review, but really no consomme. The tasteless, unbelievably bland guacamole was pulverized in a blender until it reached the texture used in baby food given to a 6-month old just starting on solids. Adding pickled onions is no substitute for the onion, serrano chile and cilantro you usually find in guacamole. It's like eating tasteless mush. STAY AWAY from...
