I emailed corporate again a week ago and all they said was "We have sent your concerns along to the appropriate parties." Nothing has happened- they just keep sending emails, responding on my review, but absolutely nothing has been done. I had to call the store today, over a week later, because I was still overcharged and paid for a mini cake that I never received. I left a message for the store manager. I will definitely not be going back to this store.
*Update- 5 days has passed and nothing has happened from the response below. I still had to pick up my cake Friday. And in addition to that, they have overcharged me for an additional cake that I decided not to order. I have to call their store today.
My mom asked me to pick up a Lemon Bundt cake for the holiday weekend. The 2 times I have been to the store, I recalled that they only had certain flavors available of the larger cakes. I wanted to check the website to be sure it was a cake they had available before I went to pick it up (I like downtown). While browsing the website I noticed you could order online and have it delivered. I kept checking for a delivery fee to see if I was willing to pay the amount, but no fee showed up. I decided to order the cake and a bundlet along with it i had a coupon for a free bundlet with purchase). By the end of the order there was no spot for a coupon code but I went ahead and still ordered it. I told a couple coworkers that they delivered for free to our office and my coworker ordered 2 large cakes and a dozen+ bundlets. About 10 minutes later Cheryl called to confirm who the order was being delivered to, which I didn't quite understand because I had specified it was being delivered to me. She then proceeded to tell me there would be a $15 delivery charge. She explained they hadn't been able to get it added to show the charge yet online. I told her that was extremely poor, and that my coworker placed a large order (because of the free delivery) to the same address as mine. I thought she might not charge for shipping because of the circumstances and 2 orders going to the same location, but she asked if I wanted to pay the delivery fee or cancel the order. I decided to pick it up as I did not want to pay such a large delivery fee. I understand maybe technical difficult adding delivery fee online, but maybe don't have delivery as an option until the website is up to date showing the fee? Here is the reason I am leaving a review- Shortly after my call they called my coworker to confirm her order and let her know about delivery fee. She said while she didn't want to pay it, but she didn't have time to pick up her cakes, so she would go ahead and pay the $15. The Nothing Bundt Cakes employee then proceeded to ask her if she knew me and maybe I would be willing to pick up her order for her when I picked up mine. I work in retail, and that is not how this works. This suggestion was extremely unprofessional. There were options that they had to show customer appreciation, and suggesting someone else pick up her order for her was not one of them. On top of that the 2 times I have been to the store, the customer service I have received has been poor and unprofessional, just like this entire experience. Yes, the cakes are delicious. But I would rather go to another business with delicious cakes and treat their customers with appreciation...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMan, If I could do zero stars I would. I came into the store a couple weeks ago and bought 3 cakes and the acclaimed "owner" (I use quotations because this is in no way how an owner should act) gave me a punch card. Then 4 days later I bought another 3 cakes and I asked if I could get another punch card and just combine them later because I forgot my first card. She agreed and I was on my way. Which brings me here today. Came in and got 3 cakes and gave this very rude" owner" my cards and she said "this one is expired from 2 years ago and can't combine them." she then RIPPED UP my punch card. I stated, "YOU gave me this card yourself 2 weeks ago..." and there's now a line of people behind me. She then said, "no, there's no way the company would send me expired cards, I'm the owner and I would've known." I chuckled and said, "are you serious?" she replied, "I'm not going to do this with you here." absolutely rediculous! Now, this may seem trivial and maybe not a big deal, but after reading the other 1 star reviews of this rude woman I am actually not surprised. So, to the "owner" reading this, what is more likely, that I am going out of my way and trying to cheat the system by having a 2 year old prestine punch card and bank statements from the corresponding dates? Or maybe, just maybe your company had expired cards or one got mixed into the bunch and you gave it to me? I hope the attention this receives and other social media platforms I'll be posting this on was worth your horrible customer service or lack thereof by not giving your paying customers the benefit of the doubt and instead accuse them (me) of lying and trying to cheat the system... Good job. More like, Nothing Bundt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat cake, but I would not recommend using this company for your wedding, particularly the Sandy location. I wanted to order a buntlet (an individual mini cake) for each of our guests. It's like a cupcake, but yummier and cuter if you are not familiar with the product. The store claims to provide the service of setting up the cakes at an event venue, but they can not take this product out of it's bulky plastic container...ever. Their solution was to layer the plastic containers in a tier and call it "set-up." I politely explained that I do not want the plastic cake containers seen at the wedding and they treated me like I was asking something absurd and unreasonable. The store's representative, Michelle, quickly stopped interacting with me and looked directly at my mom to explain things, suggest that my family take the product out of 90 containers ourselves, and ask her if she would consider buying another product. I am a 33-year-old woman paying for my own wedding, mind you. I felt so disrespected by this employee. She suggested that I speak with the manager, April, to determine if there were any other options. However, April acted so "put-out" and annoyed to even have the conversation. In addition to the poor customer service, this company needs to reconsider it's packaging and find more innovative and environmentally friendly ways to transport their product especially if they claim to provide onsite set up. keeping the product in a plastic package is not an adequate form of "setting up" or display for a wedding. This is a fact for...
