My first time at Super Chix. Found out through my father, who had nothing but rave reviews and immediately got the app. He never gets apps for reastraunts, so it is very high praise from him.
My experience has also been grand. Coming in at 2ish, I avoided the rush, but still had excellent service. Was greetEd by the cashier, was offered time to think and let me knew if I needed a suggestion, I could ask. I mentioned it was my first time and he was very clear in describing the product I was ordering. Since it was my first time, he offered me a free drink and said if I did not like my fry choice(the sweet fries) I could bring them back and choose another. It was excent service.
As I waited for my food, there was a fully staffed kitchen preparing my food, cleaning the lobby, and nice alternative variety of music. The building was air conditioned to a great tempature and it did not take long to get my food.
I ordered the blackened caujin chicken and sweet fries. Both came out on a metal tray with branded parchment, and I was immediately impressed. The fries took up half the plate, and the sandwich took up the other half. I should say the chicken breast, as it is a grilled breast butterflied VERTICALLY, given a breast the was two buns big. The cook was perfect, despite its flattened appearance, it was beautifully most, incredibly seasoned, and didn't do anything complicated with the acutrimounts. Aoli, large lettuce, one tomato, and a soft but structured bun really allows the chicken to shine, as it should.
The sweet fries were a simple seasoning of salt and sugar, and something I had never thought or heard of. The fries are a fantastic new experience, and since they are French it feels like eating a hearty candy. No sauce needed. The cook on them was also perfect. A nice Carmel gold brown, making you realize just how awful major fast food fries are.
The sauce selection is quite impressive, claiming all are house made. Now weather the said house is in suite or in the company warehouse, I don't know, but I do know of the two I tried, both are incredibly donor by delicious. The Nashville hit sauce is one of the nicest hotsauces I've had as a white man. It's bites, but does not over stay is welcome in your mouth. It's very tolerable white packing that heat you want a hot pepper sauce to have. The signature is that akin to Chick-fil-A sauce, and begs the question of a westerner if the sauce is simply a southern regional sauce. Regardless, I prefer it to the anti-sunday chicken sauce as it tastes like a professional sauce, not a chemically pugnant flavor of Chick-fil-A.
Finally, one cannot forget about the custard. One scoop is $4, and while although that seems like alot, it's worth every penny. The texture is silky smooth. It is extremely dense. But oh, the flavor, is impeccable. The balance of vanilla is just right, so no matter how my spoons you have, it will not get sickening. I had the pick of the week, reces peanutbutter, and the custard balanced the sharpness of Reces. That's hard to do.
Super Chix is the new chicken spot of Utah. With everything getting expensive, choosing where to eat out is difficult, but I know that if I want Chiken, fried or grilled, I'm going here. But Ye Be warned, the sizes are large, for a "complete" meal- sandwich, fry, drink, single custard -it cost around $25, but it takes a big belly to eat it all. I managed the full sandwich and custard, but still had 3/4 of my Fries. It's a fantastic new reastraunt for the west, but it's one where you cannot have eyes bigger than your stomach, because even your stomach...
Read moreSuper Chix felt like it was built to be a fancier version of Chick-fil-A with a larger menu. They do many types of chicken sandwiches, tenders, various types of fries, lots of sauces, and ice cream. Despite the ambition and some strong points, the overall execution didn’t justify the higher price.
✅ Pros Sauce variety: 8–10 options and all pretty good. Definitely a highlight. Chicken sandwich variety: lots of types of chicken sandwiches to choose from. Also seemed like anything could be fried or grilled. Friendly staff: The employees were welcoming, kind, and helpful.
❌ Cons Thin chicken fillet: the chicken on my sandwich seemed like a smashed chicken patty. Just not a lot of meat on the sandwich and definitely not worth $11. Also the fried part of the c tbh sicken ended up soggy with all they put on the sandwich. Friend chicken should have some crunch. Fries were nubs: Over a third of the fries in our tub were just tiny bits. They have lots of sauces but it’s hard to dip without getting sauce all over your fingers when your fry is 1/2-1 inch. Also if you are a sauce person I’d just get salted fries to dip. We got rosemary and decided that with the ones we could dip, they were pretty strongly flavored already. Pepsi products: A minor gripe, but it’s just not Coca-Cola.
Overall, I think the idea of Super Chix is good. A more premium chick fil a with lots of variety, but this experience missed the mark. I think the execution was just lack luster. For far less money, I can get a simpler but better executed chicken...
Read moreI've been so excited for this location to open! Super Chix is the only chicken place I like to go as a vegetarian. The Crispy Avo is one of my favorite foods! Half an avocado is stuffed with gouda, breaded and fried, and served on a bun with garlic aioli, tomato, and lettuce. I always ask for extra aioli because I'm a sauce girly.
If you are like me, you'll appreciate the condiment bar that is stocked with 6+ varieties of sauce. The fries are salty and perfect vehicles for my favorites: the fry sauce, the house sauce, the honey mustard and the ranch. I've tried all of the fry flavors save for the sweet, they're all bomb.
For me, the vibes are immaculate. I love the murals on the walls, the playlist was (as the kids say) banging, and it was very clean.
I've never once had a bad experience with service and they always indulge me by laughing at my dumb jokes. Last night Alya was very kind while I waxed poetic about the Crispy Avo and the manager checked in with us multiple times.
My sincerest condolences to the dairy-free crowd because they are missing out on the custard. It's rich and indulgent and I haven't met a flavor I didn't like.
Lastly, my very picky child happily eats everything on the kids' menu. Thank the...
