Cute spot aesthetically and the panini I had was good. Iâm just tired of people being rude. Youâre not going to get tipped or going have any good reviews if I think you provided bare minimum service. Nobody greeted us, someone ended up helping themselves (like literally went behind the counter to grab a soda) then they noticed us as said theyâd be right there. The girl came annoyed and asked if we were ready. First time here and first time in Santa Fe. I said yes and my girlfriend ordered a smoothie she asked for no peach or pear and she wasnât paying attention and asked to repeat then when she did the worker looked confused and said âpear?â like she didnât know the menu or what the fruit was. She then asked anything else and I ordered a turkey panini with avocado. She just looked annoyed the whole time and barely spoke two words to us. We did not tip obviously and Iâm sitting in the little floor sitting area writing this because the lack of customer service is absurd.
I wanted to update to reiterate that this was not the little Asian lady that was making the food. She was nice and working hard in the back also trying to cover the counter girls slack. When I told her the girl was rude she apologized profusely and offered me some free chips.
Also side thought, listening to the girl help other people she was just very rude to us? Didnât offer any suggestions or sides or help but while waiting heard her go above and beyond with an older couple. Very confusing on what decides good service from the counter girl.
The reply is insane. I absolutely saw this was a small business and thatâs exactly why we decided to go. I walked in and both women saw us and didnât say anything to us. When she finally did ask âare you readyâ I first said âhow are you doinâ, and nothing back from her. We were also patient as we waited almost 5 mins without being greeted and didnât say anything about it when she finally acknowledged us. Itâs fine to ask clarifying questions but the way she replied she wasnât paying attention. I have no need to defend myself because I know how to act in social settings and work in a kitchen as well.
We absolutely looked over the entire menu as we are picky eaters and know what we like. I asked for no sun-dried tomato on mine and added avocado. My girlfriend took off two of the juices. Looking over every single ingredient.
I absolutely have sympathy for being short staffed but as you are not going to put up with rudeness I will not either. If she wouldnât have been so dry and rude to us it couldâve take 30 mins and I wouldnât have said anything. And unlike this reply I was not rude until the counter girl showed how she wanted things to go. Treat how you want to be treated. Also looking at my girlfriendâs review is so funny. We are lesbians and they saw we are obviously both girls. To be called her boyfriend in the other post is so funny. And NOBODY told us that girl was new. Like I said they barely spoke two words to us and the owner didnât even speak to us till after I had gotten the sandwich to give...
Read moreUpdate: Changed rating from 1 star to 4 stars, given the owner's latest response to the incident
Edit 1: the charge was $21.15, not $21.5. But still, that's like 10% overcharge. Edit 2: As said, it's one entree, and two appetizers. If I remember correctly, they are dumpling soup, vegie pancake and calamari. This happened around noon 06/28
I got overcharged at this place. The owner didn't apologize except blaming the POS terminal when I pointed that out, and didn't offer to return the extra either.
I ordered an entree and two appetizers and the cost is $17.5 before tax -- I noticed that because the owner asked people to take down orders by themselves. I made a mistake by handing over my credit card without seeing the total, and when she gave it back to me with the receipt, it showed $21.5. The extra is more than 20% of the total, and I remembered sale tax is less than 9%. The difference is not much but it felt suspicious to get overcharged.
This looks not a fancy restaurant that would include tips in the bill. But still, I asked, "The number looks not right. Have you already included tips?"
"No. It's just tax." She said.
"But the number is wrong. You see. The total is $17.5. With tax, that's about $19, not $21.5". I showed her the receipt.
She checked the receipt, did the math, and said: "I don't know, maybe the machine is wrong." She pointed to the POS terminal.
I waited a bit. Neither did she intend to apologize nor did she offer to return the over-charged amount. I got frustrated with her attitude, and the fact if I hadn't paid attention, I would have got over-charged without even knowing it (I wonder how many people have already done so). But it seemed she didn't feel anything wrong with it.
Seeing that she doesn't plan to do anything, I said: "So what shall I do? I can consider the overcharged amount as the tip, and just sign the receipt with the total." Normally I would tip more than the overcharged, but as said I got really frustrated with her attitude.
And then the worst came. She said: "You can also add some tip on the total."
I was shocked, and for a couple of seconds, didn't know what to say. Finally I said:" But you overcharged me already..."
"It's not me. It's the machine." Again she said.
Speechless, I just signed the receipt without giving extra tip, and left. Though I was really worried that I might see an over-overcharged transaction on my credit card statement. After all, she thinks: "It's not me. It's...
Read moreThe Wrap is located at 113 E. Water Street #102, Santa Fe, NM 87501. It is on the back side of the Santa Fe Plaza next to the 5 and dime general store. My wife and I decided to find a place to have a fresh lunch made from scratch and this was just the place. Its small and cozy. We had the opportunity to speak with Sean and JE, the owners, who were very outgoing and welcoming. We had great conversations with them and exchanged info, since we recently moved back to the area. The store used to be owned by JEâs mother and she ran a sushi shop, so when Sean and JE bought it from her mother, they rolled (no pun intended) some of her recipes and menu items over to the new concept. From what I hear the âFire ramen noodle soupâ is a favorite amongst guests. They have great selections of wraps, sandwiches, paninis, salads, rice bowls and smoothies, with a few specialties sprinkled in. I decided on a Southwest wrap with chicken, green chile, avocado, onion, bell pepper, lettuce, pepperjack cheese and spicy mayo. It was wrapped perfectly and as fresh as you could expect. I didnât taste the green chile too much, it was very subtle, but the overall flavors were great. My wife got the turkey panini which consisted of turkey, bacon, basil, sun dried tomato, provolone cheese and pestoâŚWOW, this panini was delicious! It was very large, bigger than my wrap, but the flavors exploded. The pesto had such an authentic home made flavor! Highly recommended for a fresh made to order lunch sandwich. We also got one order of crinkle cut fries to share and they were seasoned nicely with salt, not too much, and they were hot and crispy fried to order. We didnât try any of the smoothies or specialty drinks because we were walking around the plaza and wanted to stay light, but we will next time. There are only about 14-18 seats available so on a busy day, you might have to order and enjoy it on a plaza bench in the park out front, but no complaints there, its a very nice setting. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, everyone was super nice and engaging, and the food was fresh and on point. Donât let the simpleness of the sign derail you, stop in here and grab your lunch! You will thoroughly enjoy it. Then take a stroll around the plaza and check out the unique surroundings. Hours, phone number and address also listed on the menu that will be posted in the...
