El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Santa Monica

Update: 9/2024. Only reviewing Evening services. I stopped all together going to the 3rd one [Agoura. 101fwy @ kanan] sadly the evening staff never gets the to go orders right. I was always getting short changed. The food improved but thats about it. The one in Sherman Oaks [dickens & sepulveda/ fwys 101/405] has gone cyber servicing. You place your own order with help of a huge screen tablet. It is easier for some to order, but now you can't customize order and have to wait for the food a bit longer, as there are fewer employees & with the screens, those orders get in faster. Busy as usual, just as is the 3rd one, in Sta Monica [at Lincoln blvd, near 10 fwy/PCH1] this one it is now the best! Same happy and always helpful staff, here for longterm they do know what they are doing! Always efficient! Orders are done as requested. You can still customize it's. Unlike at the previous automated. Food quality is great always pipping hot, no dry chicken, salsas very fresh , same as rice and veggies, never a complain here ...hopefully it will remain authentic as ever! .This location is always busy but orders move fast, every one collaborates, hence the fresh food always being made!. The Bad news for consumers, the prices keep creeping up. What was under $10 now place it under $20. But at least portions have now leveled, that after shrinking so much the past 3 years. Yeap! I am back on to my loco pollo diet! Lol.

I often visit 3 locations. This one (@Lincoln/east of 10 Fwy) and the one in Sherman Oaks ( 405/@Dickens ) are the best! Both have great..fresh chicken and is tender, never, dry or tough as in the third one [A] rice freshily cooked as are the beans, great fresh salsas and chopped cilantro . All their Staff happy and treat you nicely,they're also helpful with offering many new choices, btw always...

This summer we hosted two big beach parties with our schools—one with over 200 students on July 29, and another, our annual Beach Party in Santa Monica on September 4 with just under 150 students, staff, and teachers. On both occasions, the food was perfect, delivered on time, and everything went smoothly. Everyone loved it!

For our annual party, the 48-piece, 3-course meal was exactly what we needed. For our Bonfire Party, we went with 8+ of the 48-piece meals—skipping the churros this time since we roasted marshmallows instead.

Sandra, thank you so much for your dedication, and please extend our gratitude to your amazing team. We look forward to working...

Chicken was decent but prices are ridiculous! Yea yea i know that's corporates fault but a 2 tacos just shouldn't be 7 bucks... Anyway that's not why I'm downing one star its mainly because when you have a line going to the door and multiple registers available please use those registers, only had one cashier with a huge line and working in corporations like this myself the store is completely to blame, because the manager purposely underschedules to get a promised bonus... And every time I see any place that understaff I have to review because corporate needs to know offering gm's these bonuses and setting labor requirements is BS they should NEVER do it with under ANY...
