Clary's Cafe in Savannah, GA left a lasting impression on me with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. As I sat at the breakfast bar, I witnessed a heartwarming interaction between the mail lady and the staff that truly exemplified the kindness of the place. The mail lady, who seemed exhausted from her early morning rounds, was greeted by the guy at the register who offered her a drink. He promptly arranged for a staff member to prepare a sweet tea for her to go, and to my surprise, it was on the house. This small act of generosity spoke volumes about the staff's character and made the experience even more special. The waitress who served me throughout my meal was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Her genuine warmth added to the overall pleasant ambiance of the restaurant. It's always a delight to be served by someone who goes the extra mile to ensure a positive dining experience. Now let's talk about the food itself. Clary's Cafe exceeded my expectations with its delicious offerings. The menu had a wide variety of options, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Every bite was a delight, and I couldn't help but appreciate the flavors and the attention to detail in each dish. Moreover, the prices were quite reasonable, making it even more satisfying to enjoy such a fantastic meal. Overall, my visit to Clary's Cafe was a delightful experience from start to finish. The genuine acts of kindness displayed by the staff, the friendly and attentive service from the waitress, and the delectable food all contributed to a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Savannah who is looking for a combination of exceptional hospitality and delicious cuisine.

REALLY disappointed in the whole experience at Clary’s. I love classic diner breakfast and I was so excited to try this place out. We heard that it was a hidden gem in Savannah and the menu looked awesome. We went on a weekday morning and were able to get in rather quickly. Our service was prompt, with our waitress wanting to take our order right away. The food came out almost too quickly, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. As a former chef, a little suspicious when the food is too fast. The grits were delicious, but that’s about the only highlight of the meal. I got a provolone omelet which was thinned eggs with unmelted provolone cheese slices. Clearly not fresh eggs as the omelet was thin, and obviously it wasn’t piping hot considering you can see that even the cheese on the inside of the omelet wasn’t melted. The sausage was dry, I would guess it is heat and serve patties and was just sitting in a warmer in the back. The biscuit was a bit dry as well, just a heat and serve, nothing special. Also had the Benedict. The poached eggs were nice and the Benedict was fine. Not earth shattering, but hot and well cooked. The waitress gave us our bill as soon as our food came out and picked up my partners plate before she was even finished with her grits. Don’t expect a warm environment because she never checked on us or our food and rushed us out so fast that a warm up of coffee wasn’t even offered. I wasn’t even halfway done with my plate before she charged our card and told us to have a good day. If you want an expedited breakfast with no hospitality then this is the place for you. Bummed because I had such high hopes. Will not be making a return or recommending this place.

My wife and I stopped by Clary’s Cafe today for lunch after a tour and we had no trouble getting a table at about 12:30PM. The restaurant has the feeling and atmosphere of a diner. There is a long counter/bar and then several tables available as well. This is an old school cafe that serves breakfast all day as well as lunch. Our server was friendly and polite and made a few suggestions. I took her up on the Reuben as she said it was one od their most popular items. My wife opted for a fried chicken club sandwich. We both agreed that we would easily order these again. The Reuben had lean slices of corned beef piled high with cheese, thousand island and kraut. All of that between two perfectly golden grilled pieces of rye bread! The chicken sandwich my wife ordered was huge! The Kaiser bun could hardly contain the chicken filet. Both of these were served with crinkle cut fries which are our favorite. We got dessert to go and really enjoyed our lunch. Next time, I will try something from the breakfast menu.

Awesome eatery! We sat outside because we had our pup. The staff spoiled our dog! They gave her a bowl of water bigger than she is and a huge handful of treats. Service was a little slow, but they were very busy as we were there Sunday morning. Staff was incredibly friendly! We had a very nice waitress and every time someone passed by, they were all smiles. Food was a pleasantly surprising mix of southern comfort with a sprinkling of new-age. I got the eggs benedict florentine with grits. My son got a chocolate chip pancake that was so packed full of chocolate chips, it practically melted at the slightest touch of the fork (his dream). My partner got the corned beef hash, which he said was one of the best he's had. There was a little mix-up with our order coming out at first but they were surprisingly quick to fix! Really recommend & will definitely come back next time we're in the area.
