Beautifual quaint place. We arrived on a whim since it was suggested by friends when we were in the area. They were able to get us in, which was great. It was our 1 month anniversary so we were thrilled to have dinner there. Got to the table and my Husband ordered a glass of moscato. I had a red blend glass. We decided to order the bruschetta per suggestiin from our friends. It came quickly and was beautiful & the mozzerella was fresh but overall it lacked flavor. I ordered a caesar salad and Chicken Marsala for dinner. My Husband ordered their Chicken Parmesan sandwich. My salad came quick and was very tasty. His sandwich came while I was still eating my salad. By this time you would think our server, Laura would have checked to see how we were enjoying everything so far or if we needed anything but instead, she was having an extensive conversation with a nice family seated at the table behind us and it sounded like an interview as she goes in massive detail of her past serving experience. My Husband had to ask another server typing in an order nearby to get me silverware for my salad since she was so busy. After my Husband is finished with half his sandwich and I completed my salad I'm still waiting for my chicken marsala. After a long wait, the pretty-eyed bartender lady brings my food and says that it's one of her favorites. "Oh!" I said as I chuckled a bit then thanked her as she walked away. At first glance, I could tell that it had been sitting for a while because the alfredo sauce in my noodles had already formed a dry blanket & conjeeled a bit. After a few bites I realized that it was barely luke warm. After 7 minutes, Our server, Laura appears to check the status of our meals. "Great!", my Husband says regarding his Chicken Parmesan sandwich. "Mine is cold!", I stated. "Okay, let me fix that for you", she immediately says. I hand her my plate then she continues by saying, "We literally don't have a microwave in the building so it will be a little bit to reheat, okay?" "Okay, I replied." I mean, hey, #1 I've already waited about 20 minutes or so for it's arrival. What's another ten or twenty minutes. It's not like I have much of a choice. I'm not eating luke warm alfredo and chicken marsala and I shouldn't have to, right!? As my Husband gets down to his final 3 bites he realizes how awkward I felt sitting there as he eats so he offers me a bite of his sandwich. "No but thank you, sweetheart". I said. He's such a sweet guy. :) after 8 minutes or so my food re-arrives & then Laura, our server says, "Here you go and please, save room for dessert because we have one on the house for you tonight, okay?" "Okay." I replied. Since my Hubby was done eating already, I took a few bites then waited for our server to return and asked for a box and the check. I requested for a slice of key lime pie to go since it was complimentary and my Hubby's favorite. NO ONE BROUGHT US SILVERWARE, my Hubby had to ask for someone to get it for us. Laura never checked on the status of our appetizer nor my salad. My Hubby was so dissappointed that he insisted that I stiff her on a tip but I didn't have the heart so I tipped just barely 15% instead of the normal 20% that I usually would if we had a more positive experience. We ended up going to another restaurant the following night for an anniversary do-over. We had a better time at the other restaurant. They wished us happy anniversary and our server was much more attentive. Wish I could say the same for Corleon's but I can't. No one was even attentive enough to get us silverware let alone ask or acknowledge that we were celebrating anything. Oh well, glad our friends had a good experience at Corleon's. Us,...
Read moreWarning to all parents & grandparents kids menus are misleading. I planned our visit to Savannah for months. I travel by myself with grandchildren 5.6.8.&9 & I am in a strict budget so I read menus & make reservations to make sure we are in budget & everyone is happy. The kids menus had a couple of options for $8 dollars. Fits budget. We arrive 10 mins early & it takes 20 minutes just to tell the host we are here. 40 to 50 mins later we get seated & 10 mins or more we receive menus. When the wonderful waitress arrives I ask if drinks come with kids meals & she states soft drinks which clarified that the Shirley temple & Roy Roger’s were not included they were priced in menus $2.95. Kids are used to budget & said water was fine but I said we are on vacation & since they are included get what you want & order wash a drink. 3 of the 4 ordered chicken. Alfredo & 1 pizza. The food did not come for over an hour which puts us at 2 hours & 30 mins & everyone is about past the excitement. Each child tried the chicken & did not like at all, of course they asked to get it without but told the. It was part of the meal & try it they might like it I attempt to get them out of their comfort zone with new foods. Everyone had about 3 to 4 bites & proclaimed they were full & I agreed as I was tired & done about 3 bites in😒 I hades the waitress my credit card since I hated for her to make more trips she had lots of tables & was very busy the entire evening. When she brought the receipt with my card I noticed a extra $15 food charge which when I asked Lear ed the chicken is not part of meal so it was basically $1 a cube & also the drinks were extra. I informed her I had asked about the drinks & she apologized for confusion which as busy as the place was I was not blaming her at all! I told her the kids did not like chicken & did not even eat but 3 to 4 bites of the meals do to the 2.5 hour wait. Just as a side not others who were seated & ordered after us received their meals way before us. She told em to give her a minute & she would inform manager. She returned to let me know he did not care about the issues & first off would not even appear at the table nor would he consider removing the drinks due to the confusion. My kids meals ended up being over $16 & with tax & tip over $20 & the $16 was more than the adult entrees. Just felt everyone beware of the bait & switch tactics here & the management that just don’t care. The portions of pasta were very large but the Alfredo deposited in the bottom of bowls & made the top...
Read moreTop notch. Now normally I don’t write reviews in detail, but this place warrants one. Very attentive waitress. Appetizers were amazingly good. And the entree was even better.
Went here with my parents, so to start, the service is above amazing, we had Maggie as our waitress and to the high heavens she was so attentive. One of the Caesar salads had a bit too much dressing and so we put it aside and didn’t really say anything, she immediately took notice and took it up with the kitchen to let them know their mistake. She kept constantly checking on the table, recommended some dishes. She was a real joy to be around.
Food was giant portions and so flavorful. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, father had fettuccine with shrimp, and mom had the lasagna. After enjoying our appetizers and waiting (Maggie apologized for a slightly longer wait time than originally planned) we tasted our food. Now most food you don’t taste the flavor until you chew. Absolutely not. The flavor hit us immediately, it was so fresh, hot, and delicious the flavors all worked amazingly. The Alfredo was not greasy and bland, you could taste the cheese blend and the pasta noodles weren’t soft and mushy or undercooked. The lasagna (I admittedly took some of my mom’s) the seasoning and herbs in the meat sauce was to die for. The shrimp in the other Alfredo was also cooked to perfection and when you bit into it, it was just as flavorful. We couldn’t even finish all of our food and still ordered dessert to go, tried the cheesecake and key lime pie, both were unequivocally amazing.
The Atmosphere, it’s very relaxed, easy going. You can choose to dress up if you want, but believe me when I say that no one will be faulting you for wearing comfortable pants that are easily loosened because you will walk out with a full belly. Originally we planned to sit outside but then settled for sitting inside after an agreement made amongst our group, and we had a nice table with a booth seat. All of the tables are turned so you’re not staring directly at other people and vice versa. The decor is very nice and gives romantic vibes. Definitely a nice date night spot.
Overall, our visit was spectacular and we are already planning our next visit. Definitely...
