Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews — Restaurant in Schererville

Went here with my bf after seeing a 2 hour movie and we just wanted to sit and enjoy something we both haven’t had in YEARS. Soon as we got there the bartender came to us pretty much complaining about her having 8 tables and her being the only server. Coming from someone who’s served for 3-4 years and been in the food industry for 10 years my first thought was why complain about making money. At that point I knew we should have just left and went to Buffalo Wild Wings. The service was horrible we ordered strawberry lemonades and never got refills on them when they’re $5 a drink. We placed our order I got three appetizers and my bf got a burger with fries. We waited 25-30 min for our food to come out and it was ALL freezing cold. Onion rings were soggy and cold , wings were cold, the shrimp was horrible my bf burger was even cold and fries. Once the server came back like 5 min later I told her I wasn’t happy nor paying for something that were not going to eat. She got her manager and he said “ you guys didn’t even touch the food “ clearly we did touch it to know it was cold. I once again stated we didn’t want the order and we would just like to leave. My bf tried to make small talk with the sever making light of the situation and she completely ignored him and rolled her eyes. We needed up being charged $10 for the drinks that we didn’t even get a refill on and guess where we went.. Buffalo Wild Wings where the service was great and food was hot. We came in on 2/11/23 to celebrate my husband’s 70 th birthday because Red Robin is one of his favorite restaurants. We were there at around 3:30 pm and it was not really busy. Our server whose name I don’t recall took our drink orders ( there was 12 of us) and our appetizers orders. It took forever for both to get to our table. She took our food order and pretty much disappeared. She never came to clear any of the plates or drink cups our table was cluttered. Thank goodness another server showed up and brought our food with a quickness. He was wonderful and we all said that we wished we could have given him the tip . My daughter also mentioned that it was my husband’s birthday because in the past the servers sang or brought a dessert which we would have paid for. The female server didn’t even come back to ask if we would like dessert or anything else. We asked for the check because we were splitting it and she just said you pay on the tabletop and walked away. My son asked for a container for his hamburger and fries and the container was maybe big enough for a cupcake. We were so disappointed because some of us were just there last week and the service was fantastic. I wish a manager would have come around to see how everything was but , that never happened. This place used to be very good. We always enjoyed sitting in the bar area, but were told it was closed. We don't like to eat next to very small children which is why we like to sit there. On order to not be seated next to a family with an infant and toddler, we had to sit at the table next to the serving area/ Kitchen and closest to the front lobby. We usually love their burgers and get good service. But this time the burgers were overcooked and dry. We waited repeatedly for things we had requested with our order like BBQ sauce, a knife, cheese sauce for my fries. Our waitress was nice and pleasant, but was very busy. The server who brought our food was not friendly, acted annoyed by our requests and never smiled once. We waited extended periods of time waiting to get our drinks refilled also. While we were eating ( on my birthday) an employee began to use a loud device to fill up balloons directly behind our table. The balloons that were being inflated were being placed in the lobby for a promotion, (This was at 8pm) Why couldn't she have done this project in the bar area which was closed? Why couldn't she wait until we were done dining? Why wasn't she helping customers like us who waited longer than necessary for things she could have been...
