Barstool Scottsdale — Restaurant in Scottsdale

Arrived there last night 3/33/24 at exactly 8:30pm. Was hoping to have a few drinks and some food. We were not greeted by the hostess at all after waiting for her attention, gave up and decided to try to find a seat or ask someone if they were still serving food. A barback said they should be serving food until 10pm, which i confirmed with a security guard. We went back to the hostess and asked to be seated, she said there were no open seats outside so we could sit at the bar if we saw any open seats. The bar was dark and surrounded by people because it was close to "nightclub" hours, so we asked why we cant sit at any of the 5-6 open seats/booths around the front patio on either side. Her response was "That table is reserved at 10pm for bottle service and there's no server for those on the other side." I looked at my watch and advised her that it was a good hour and a half until 10pm and we were not going to be staying that long, we just needed a place to eat. Once we were finished eating we would be happy to transfer to the bar. She thought about it before saying that wasnt possible and suggested we eat somewhere else nearby. She likely could not have been more dismissive and rude if she tried, we were treated like we were lepers for simply trying to eat there. If they dont want patrons to arrive for food at 8:30pm, then dont serve food until 10pm... Her name (allegedly) was Tyler. The situation did not need to go down like that, completely unnecessary. We could have simply been seated somewhere open, ordered our food right when we were seated, finished out food and moved to the bar. Will not...

Worst experience ever at a bar in AZ. I got a simple drink, rude blonde bartender who doesn't care gives me a cup with someone else's lipstick all over it.

It's rare for me to feel upset to write a review, I usually let things slide. But when someone tells me (after ignoring me) sharply that she heard me and I need to wait my turn after 20 MINUTES of her ignoring me, is really not acceptable.

I waited AGAIN and when she finally came I said there's lipstick on it, with an annoyed tone in my voice. She replies by saying I don't need to be rude and I can sit the ** down and wait my turn....I responded back by saying she started it and then she goes and tells her coworkers that I flipped her off...who immediately assumed I did and then had me escorted out...

WITHOUT GIVING MY MONEY BACK FOR A DRINK WITH DARK PINK LIPSTICK ALL OVER IT.

Crazy this place is so unsanitary with worse and low level bar staff, half laughing and messing around while they make people wait. Being from the restaurant industry, the compliance issues being ignored for safety and cleanliness at the bar by that bartender were ATROCIOUS.

The only saving grace is that the manager at the front cared enough to make it right and apologize on their behalf. This place needs to keep people like him and lose people like the blonde at the bar on Saturday, July 21st and their bar manager if they're going to last.

Crazy to see it be more like a mean girls situation then a place that cares about...
