I should have went to a cheaper place father in Tucson but we had been at a Waterpark all day and didn't want to drive more than necessary. Service was ok, the chef at the grill was so amazing m with a great attitude and I tipped him generously. He was friendly and made our whole experience. He had a cashapp (James Royce was his name. Great jokes) qr code So I was able to tip him alone before I even got the check to tip our "waitress" who was rude and ignored and gave us death stare while we waited with our children who for once well behaved and stood still while we waited for our table ( i say this beacuse im told my kids are angels but i hardly see it). The prices were not very good for the tint portions we got and they absolutely were not willing to let us "share" with our kids. Theu wouldnt let our "table neighbors" share either. We all know kids eat one or two bites at most places, they also offered no kods menu or lesse portions before you come for me. I bought them their own appizeziers EACH (only thing they were eager to eat) and everything and when they found out we were ordering for just my husband and myself and were going to give the kids a bite or 2 from our plate not even asking for an extra plate they told us absolutely not. So we ordered another entree that they begrudgingly said they would allow the two to share a dinner meal. Which they each ate 1 bite of. Also 2 chairs for the table were about on the wall giving us no space to move at all. See picture for proof. No joke. No room. Idk if they said " oh well they have kids, they'll fit" buy my son wanted to sit by me and my daughter by my husband. I'm so small woman but I'm also not Santa so I barely squeezed in. If you're a bigger person know they don't care about how comfortable you are. Probably will never eat here again. I will brave the extra miles to go somehow in Phoenix.

We were there on Friday night, a night before the 4th of July. Four of us ordered some edamame and miso soup along with beers. So far so good other than our server not smiling. Maybe she’s having a bad night. (I can’t even Imagine how my patients would feel if I didn’t smile at all during the exam just because I was having a bad day). Anyway, she didn’t smile, not once, to us through our dinner. Then we proceeded to order 5 different rolls, some hamachi and sweet shrimp nigiri. Most of the rolls were so loose and nori partly opened. The worst was the ama-ebi (sweet shrimp nigiri). I’ve never seen shrimp head fried this way, EVER. I wonder when did this place start to go down so low in its quality? It’s sad to see once a beautiful Japanese restaurant that show off tradition cuisine and well-tailored sushi along with fun hibachi show time has lost its elegant appearance, quality food, and respectful service. Left is what fried shrimp head should look like. The right one is what I got at Kyoto.

Came on a Thursday during lunch hour. They sat me at the sushi bar and took my order after about 5 minutes. I couldn't decide between ramen or a bento box. I ended up getting the Sashimi Platter bento. The Sashimi Platter was plenty filling for me. You get a good portion of everything. I might have even got a little extra salmon and tuna. Some of the slices might have been a little small, so I think extras were included to compensate. The quality seemed good and fresh. They presented the fish on a bed of thinly noodled carrots and daikon. I don't know if people normally eat the bed of carrot/daikon, but I sure did. The miso soup, salad, and edamame were as you would expect. Nothing bad to say. They complement the bento very well. I was looking for sushi/Sashimi, and didn't leave disappointed. At $16, I think it was a fair price.

CAREFUL, PRICES ARE HIGHER THAN POSTED ON MENU

Read story if you want, but they have different menus per what table you sit and have terrible service.

If you are wanting hibachi or anything of this style or cooking, you are not getting what you paid for. The tepenyiaki was MENU IS NOT POSTED ON THE WEBSITE * the prices you see are just for the normal table service, not the grill tables. If you are eating for 2 you will pay around $100 and not get looked at by staff because they are just staring at a tablet.

We came in 8:24 and asked how long it would be for hibachi and they said they could seat us at 9, which we were fine with. They gave us the option to sit at the bar or sushi bar and we choose the sushi because that's where there was space. We were told that the menu was on the qr code on the table and were given a paper sushi menu. THE SUSHI WAS AMAZING, DONT GET ME WRONG and our first server was great! Then 9 came around and we were sat, but it took a good minutes for the server to come around. We put our order in around 9:10 and the cook didn't come out till close to 10, which is when they closed. The cook seemed mad that he had to cook our food, but was good at what he did. He did run out if ginger sauce, which the server was supposed to grab but didn't till we asked again along with the teriyaki sauce, which they microwaved.

HOWEVER, when the bill came, it was double what was expected. We asked why it was so high and showed the server the menu we ordered from. The server looked like they had never seen it before and said "I dont know, I just work the tepenyiaki". THE SERVER DIDNT EVEN KNOW THERE WAS A SEPARATE MENU. She the basically didnt care and just walked away. We were NEVER informed of a different menu for different tables. We didnt even get what we ordered. We just ended up paying because they didn't seem to care.

I did ask manger on the way out how we missed this and said that his host should have told us. She sure did not tell us nor did he that there were two separate menus for the places we were sat. He gave me awful apologie and did not take any sort of blame.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Sorry for the long read, they just made...

Me, wife and daughter came here for my daughters birthday. We called in advance to see if we needed reservations. In which we did so I made a reservation for three letting them now that it was for a birthday. They asked for the birthday girls name and age. When we arrived we were pleasantly meet by a host and the general manager, I believe his name was Daniel an older gentleman with a cane. He explained to us the parking situation since they had no valet driver but had signs stating only valet parking. After being sat at the end of the table not the middle since there was no one else joining our teppanyaki table (keep in mine there were only two other tables in the restaurant a three top and a five top both being birth days. The host started off with our drinks and said our server would be with us shortly. After about 15 min. Our server came by to take our order which we ordered the tuna ta taki, edimami and the crazy roll. Once the edimami hit the table we place our order for the teppenaki order for the filet, my strip and scallops and the chicken. Half way through our main meal my wife's sushi roll arrives and I ask to see how long on my tuna tataki was going to be, but she said she forgot to put it in and if I would like her to. I told her that it would be fine since my steak was just about done. The teppanyaki chef was definitely green and still learning which was fine he was still very entertaining and even acknowledged my daughters birth day and was the best part of the meal. The food was ok very very very over priced for what you get compared to other teppanyaki After he was done and we were eating our meals our server was no ware to be found along with the rest of the servers. I ended up walking to the host stand to see if we could get some refills on our drinks and the host was very friendly and proceeded to get our drink order and refills. Our server finely came out from the back 45 min. Later to just drop off the check. The other two tables they came out and sang to the birthday people but did not for my daughter even though they were aware of her birthday. I would suggest mnt. Fuji or Osaka teppanyaki grill they are 10...
