I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Liquor Pig recently, and it totally exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was just right — stylish and intimate, with a great mix of cozy and energetic. It felt like the kind of place you could bring a date, meet friends for drinks, or just treat yourself to a really good meal.
The food? Creative, flavorful, and clearly made with a lot of care. I loved that the menu is built around shareable dishes — it made the experience feel more social and gave us the chance to try a bit of everything. Every bite felt intentional, and I especially appreciated the seasonal touches and bold flavors. You can tell the chef is doing something special here. Highly recommend the bread, grilled zucchini, shakshouka, and ALL of the desserts!
Drinks were on another level. The cocktail program is thoughtful and fun — I had one called “Meet Me There”. Love the flavors of grapefruit & rosemary-incredibly refreshing. The staff knew their stuff too — our server made great recommendations and had the perfect balance of attentiveness and chill.
Overall, Liquor Pig feels like a place that’s truly dialed in — from the food and drinks to the ambiance and service. The owners and general manager were attentive and very personable! Scottsdale has plenty of good spots, but this one is unique and stands out with its intentive menu, top-tier cocktails, and a vibe that feels both elevated and effortlessly cool. Definitely looking forward to...
Read moreAs someone who’s clocked plenty of hours in kitchens and behind the bar, let me just say — Liquor Pig is the kind of place that reminds you why we fell in love with this industry in the first place.
Chef Chops is throwing down some seriously bold flavors in that kitchen. The food? Adventurous, delectable, and downright fulfilling. Every plate felt like a well-executed risk — familiar enough to comfort, but clever enough to spark conversation. This is not your standard gastropub fare; this is a chef having fun and absolutely sticking the landing.
Drinks? Let’s just say the bar program is as thoughtful as the food. Balanced, creative, and executed with finesse. Whether you’re into creative takes on the classics or bright caramelized tropical drinks with a hint of SPAM (yep), you’re in good ca’hands.
Speaking of 👏 our server Jacob had the whole menu committed to muscle memory. He wasn’t just taking orders, he was curating an experience. Anticipating needs, pairing suggestions, timing everything like a seasoned pro. That kind of floor presence is rare and seriously appreciated. My gf and I may adopt him😂
Management better known as Scott, clearly knows what they’re doing. The energy on the floor was smooth and intentional, staff was supported, and supported each other as a team! The pace was dialed, and service went above and beyond without ever feeling forced.
Liquor Pig is a killer addition to Scottsdale. It’s the kind of spot you want to work at, eat at, and bring...
Read moreUnfortunately this restaurant follows the trend of trying to be an overpriced Cheesecake Factory, serving everything from thai soups to schnitzel. We were quite surprised to learn that the entree's are actually just small plates. The $30 short rib was 4 bites worth of meat. The $17 potatoes was just 4 small potatoes. What's worse is the quality ranged from mediocre to poor. We told the waitress that all four of us hated the schnitzel, but she couldn't care less. We gave up after ordering 7 dishes and went across the street for tacos. The cocktails were pretty good and honestly that and the music were the only saving grace.
ADDENDUM:
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately we tried to give direct feedback to the server last night. They brushed it off and no one else came by to check in despite us being some of the only diners there. The server also acknowledged the extremely small portion sizes. The overall point is for that much money, the flavors should be MUCH better. It shouldn't cost the same as a Michelin star restaurant in a major city. In addition, if you are going to have so many pricey small plates, then I would suggest having a handful of larger dishes as well that at least fill people up. Perhaps a burger or a large...
