Came here for our anniversary on the 24th of August and had the best experience ever. From the moment you walk in to the moment walk in you know the experience is going to be amazing. We got some good seats near the window in front of the bar. We got our drinks ordered, and although I'm personally not a big bourbon drinker or whiskey I did have a Kentucky cooler which is vodka and that tasted so good, and it actually had alcohol in it unlike some other places that seem to pour very little. Next we got to order our food, we had the Devils cut hot rock wagyu, a bone in medium rare ribeye with 3 sides. Country mashed patatoes, corn and the Brussel sprouts, also had a ceasar salad to share and finished up with the vanilla creme brulee
I'll start off with what came first; the ceasar salad, this our first time eating at such a nice restaurant and truth be told I normally eat really bad ceasar salads. The salad we got at bourbon & bones really opened up my eyes to what a good ceasar salad would taste like. The lettuce was nice and crisp, the dressing was amazing not over powering and the cheese ( not sure what kind they used) was nice and salty but tasted so good.
You also get to pick your own steak knife out, really makes the experience that much more better.
the hot rock wagyu was amazing, my girlfriend got it since the bigger portions of meat would've been to much for her to eat. Both sauces that came with it also tasted really good, dipped the slices into the ponzu butter then onto the rock and finish with the sweet chili. So gooood, I even got to pour some of the sweet chili on my ribeye.
My ribeye was amazing, 26oz of medium rare amazing meat. The crust was nice and uniform. Damn near finished it my self for sure enough to share for two even with the bone.
The sides also tasted really great, the corn was nice and buttery warm but smushy warm. My favorite side had to be the country mashed patatoe's. So smooth because of the cream, the butter did it's job and the salt and pepper topped it all off. The Brussel sprouts also tasted great as well, they are glazed in a bourbon glaze and little bits of bacon, this was good but the taste is a unique not terrible at all but try it first if you can before ordering for yourself.
Then we got to finish up the night with some vanilla creme brulee, we had actually been craving this leading up to our visit and after it was so good.
Now during our entire visit here we had the best service and the waitress was so attentive and friendly. A nice guy came around frequently to top off our water or grabbed us another Kentucky cooler. I also believe a gentlemen who was the manager came around a few times to always make sure everything was going great and if we needed anything.
Once it was time to head out another nice guy actually came around grabbed our plates and actually took them away to pack them into some to go boxes.
Just a few extra things. Yes it's a little bit loud, we came on a Saturday and it wasn't super loud like I read but it wasn't quiet either. The bathrooms are so great also, and those paper towels in the bathroom what the hell those are the softest things I've ever had the pleasure of using.
Overall it was a 10/10 experience. Everything is so amazing here the service the experience the food, it really made our anniversary date such a wonderful experience we will never forget.
can't wait to be back in October for...
Read moreI really wanted to give this place a rave review, but unfortunately our experience didn't live up to expectations.
Our waitress, Lindsey, didn't put any care into our service. She handed us the menus, asked if it was our first time (we said yes), then left us to look over the menu. I thought it was odd that she didnt go over any highlights or let us know of any daily offerings - a standard for a restaurant of this caliber. Turns out, it is their standard. I heard Lindsey go over the menu in great detail for the table next to us, as did the other waiters for nearby tables. They even told them about several off-menu options that they raved were the best steaks they had to offer. We didn't receive that same level of care.
We had to flag Lindsey down to take our appetizer order and then again to take our dinner order. She just wasn't attentive to us at all. I would be willing to give her a pass because it was a busy night, however, she spent a considerable amount of time at our neighboring tables, so that wasn't the reason.
When they brought our dinner, there was a trio of salts that no one bothered to describe to us. Again, every other table had a detailed explanation given, not sure why we didn't.
For dessert, Lindsey dropped off a couple of menus then went back to the table next to us and again told them all about the off-menu option. Never mentioned it to us. She came to take our dessert order and I asked her did I overhear her describing a special for the evening. She said "yes but that's not the birthday dessert" (it was my friend's birthday). We explained to her that we're interesting in hearing all options and are willing and able to pay for what we like.
Lindsey's lack of care put a damper on my friend's birthday 😔
That being said, the steaks were great. Mine was a tad overcooked but it was delicious so I didnt bother alerting Lindsey about it. The grilled octopus was fantastic (we heard Lindsey highlight this as a popular item to another table, so we ordered it too). The sides were just ok, nothing special about them. Brussel sprouts were a tad burned (not charred, but burned), and mac and cheese lacked flavor. Again, I didn't bother sending anything back. The steak was so good so we just focused on that.
Overall, the place was very nice. It seems good service is the norm, we just drew the short end...
Read moreSERVICE: I was astonished at how rude our waiter was. It was an uncomfortable meal because of him. Not just once... But 4 times he came up and "pushed us" along. When we order our 2 apps... He scuffed and rolled his eyes. Oh and let's not forget the hostess that came up and asked us to leave because they're gonna time schedule. (We were there for an hour and 45 minutes)! I spent just under $300 for 2 people but here's the thing... THE OTHER GUEST ONLY HAD APPS AND A DRINK! If I'm spending that kind of money anywhere, I don't ask for special treatment. I just ask that you let me enjoy the food you're serving. An excuse for time limits on tables due to the pandemic is NOT my fault, it's your restaurants poor planning. (0 Stars) 🤬
MENU: This was a welcome surprise. The menu is not your typical steakhouse menu. It's served and priced the same, but the options were great here. They had fun and eclectic dishes. Even the starters went from grilled 🐙 to a great house salad! The not only have all the great cuts of meat, but their fish selection was off the charts! (1 Star ⭐)
FOOD: It's actually very scrumptious! It's the only steak house I've been to that actually has a diverse menu (see above). From appetizers all the way to dessert. GET THE PORK BELLY! 🥓 (1 Star ⭐)
AMBIANCE: It's "cool". Its not like every other steakhouse where you're sitting in the dark and can't see the people next to you! It was hip and comfortable. Had all the options such as inside, outside, booth, bar etc. The issue...parking sucks. (1/2 Star ✨)
OTHER: I ate there, I took some things to go for my wife, and the food was great. 👍 The reason I would go back is their house old fashion and the food. (1/2 Star ✨)
WOULD I GO BACK? For the food and drinks yes...only if they retrain the staff to not be pretentious and rude. They're very lucky I went with a buddy and not my wife because she would have ripped them a new one when they said our "time is up we need to...
