Used to be one of our favorite Thai restaurants to go to. On a recent visit, after mask requirements had been lifted, we were out walking around (did not have masks on us) and decided to drop in for lunch. They displayed a sign that masks were required. We went in to ask about the sign requiring masks (we had previously noticed old signage on doors that had been forgotten to be removed). We were told that yes, we would need to have one, but then noticed only one couple out of probably 4 or 5 other couples, had their masks on. They said it was okay to come on in, and they brought us masks to use; however, we couldn't figure out why we were being asked to mask up when basically no one else was. They then said they were going to give the rest of the patrons masks to wear. Very weird, inconsistent and awkward experience. I am all for masking up but if an establishment is making that requirement, then make it so for everyone, not just select people coming in. We definitely felt singled out and probably...
Read moreI come to Ayutthaya frequently for lunch and occasionally for dinner.
Their food is delicious (try the Ayutthaya noodles, my personal favorite), and their servers are incredibly attentive.
I love the decor and being able to people watch from the window tables (though you could also take a table in the back and not). It feels intimate and yet everyone is spaced far enough away that you don't feel like you're on top of each other.
I recently went out with four coworkers here and it was delicious and portions were definitely big enough for all of us to take a box back for the next day's lunch. The food is reasonably priced for the delicious and attractively plated entrees and while I've only had a cocktail here once, it was pretty delicious, too.
I can imagine that this is a stellar date night option, even though I'm mostly there for lunch. But if I had any reason to take someone anywhere for a date, this would be top of my list! It's so charming and intimate, quiet, delicious,...
Read moreMy only complaint was the food, it wasn’t bad it was over priced for what we got. We got the Tom Yum which was probably the best thing we got but way spicier than the four star entree we got. Speaking of, we got the special curry with veggies and the Pad See Ewe. The curry’s flavor was very good, however they pour maybe a half a cup of curry onto the dish, which I was disappointed about. I want a enough curry to justify eating a bowl of white rice and a $17.50 price tag. The Pad See ewe was good but way salty. Over all the food was fine and filling and we left satiated, although a little lack luster.
The service was perfect, and gave great recommendations and a menu tour that we used to order our mains. Very cute inside with a lived in home feeling, regardless of the food I would return to try more of the food, definitely getting the soup...
