Bar Moxy — Restaurant in Seattle

This is the bar located in Moxy Hotel. They have a decent selection of cocktails. Not many food options (there’s a grab and go fridge with snacks), and they serve an assortment of naans that are prepped behind the bar. The bartenders are very friendly, the space and decor is pretty unique, and the cocktails are pretty good but all were on the sweet side. There are a bunch of different areas to hang out, board games included

Got Moxy - this is their house cocktail that is served to all hotel guests on check in - I believe it is vodka based. It was tasty but very sweet

Shiso Pretty - this is a variation of a bourbon sour. Also very tasty for the first few sips, but got to be way too sweet and syrupy about halfway though.

A contemporary urban campground located in the Amazon jungle that is south lake Union neighborhood. What a concept for a hotel. It’s cozy, comfy, a unique interior surfacing products and an amazing theme. Unlike traditional hotels there is no checkin counter. One checks in at the bar with a signature drink! That itself makes a bold statement.

The Captain, general manager gave us a tour of a typical guest room. The room was unique in many ways- from pallet of materials to decor to bed to headboard! The concept in may ways, like W Bellevue, challenges traditional notions of hospitality industry. Bar has a limited menu of light bites. Larger female bartender Toni was extremely disrespectful, unfriendly, seemingly annoyed by everyone, and beyond entitled. Worst experience! I’m not sure why she chose customer service when she clearly doesn’t enjoy working with the public. We were excited to come here, and the experience was beyond ruined by her pettiness.
