Indian Fast Food + Chai ☕️

Well, let me start by saying that, I was excited to see a place serving misal. Per usual, I looked up the photos of fellow contributors and the menu for this place. I decided to take my chances and went for it. Being a hard-core Maharashtrian and having eaten simple home cooked meals all my life, I was devastated to see the sorry state of the food that was offered. The legacy of Maharashtrian food runs deep and I was sorry to see such an abysmal display of tradition being served in a foreign land, to the people who know nothing about it. I really don't want people to think that, the food served here is what is identified as 'Maharshtrian food'. I even tried contacting the owner on LinkedIn (as she wrote on her wall that she is open to feedback), but I couldn't reach her. If you are reading this, please feel free to respond to me and we can chat. It's insulting to my Maharashtrian legacy and traditions quite literally. I wish I had never been here. Sincerely, Truly disheartened Maharashtrian

Joke of a restaurant in the name of Indian food. Very overpriced. Almost $9 for a large mango lassi with hardly any taste & extremely sweet. I asked what all go in it - Hate the cardamom in it had to get the spice mix omitted from it. It's like a mango syrup they put in & not fresh at all. Bhelpuri puri was very small quantity for the price out of pocket & too sweet & too watery chutney. They are charging entree price for an appetizer. Hardly any onion tomato potatoes.Who pays $4-5 almost for a samosa that's not even good. Poha was also nothing special & lots of peanut in it, again a very small bowl, like a tiny side portion.I didn't feel like buying anything else here. If I'm very very very hungry.....- maybe I will have one samosa here . I'm not returning here , they need to up their taste in making the food & lower their prices. Ambience also not that great . No parking available.

It's sad, but I think the restaurant owners need to wake up. You just can't sustain with a good location, when your experience and food suck. Had an extremely hard time ordering via their recommended Square app. Started with 12 items and it suggested I use ez cater. Ez-cater didn't even pull up L&S. Tried calling the restaurant, but the number was busy (from 3 pm to 12 noon the following day !!). Eventually changed menu to pickup on following day 2 pm, split the order into two to help place it. If u really want to order from here, use doordash and nothing else. Was suspicious, so went to this restaurant around lunch the following day to confirm my order and few things (didn't want to miss my social event in a couple of hours). They fixed the phone when I told them it was not working. Next they claimed they didn't have any square order in their system. I had to show the email confirmation and have them take the order again. The person at the restaurant behaved as though this is normal. When asked, they said the owners manage online menu and they can't help it !!. At least the other workers at the restaurant apologized and acknowledged this wasn't correct. Went in the afternoon to pick up my food. Surprise, the food was ready, the Square order receipt was attached to the package !!!!! Was a bit confused why they didn't have the order earlier, but got the food and told them this confusion was not necessary.

Eventually we had the lassi and chai. None of us found it authentic nor tasty and the quality barely compensated for the hassle. Jackfruit lassi has no jackfruit flavor. Masala chai was terrible. It felt like these were made using some instant mix, artificial flavors. Downgrading from 3 to 1 star...
