My experience ordering from House of Chettinad was overall decent, but with a few areas that could be improved upon. Firstly, it’s worth noting that this is a cloud/ghost kitchen, so there’s no seating available and it’s strictly takeout and delivery. It would have been helpful if this information was made clearer on the website or elsewhere. Moving on to the food, we ordered the Chicken dum biryani and Chicken 65. While the biryani rice was flavorful and reminiscent of authentic biryani, the chicken in both dishes was disappointingly dry. It lacked the tenderness and freshness that would have elevated the meal. Additionally, despite our request for the chicken 65 to come with gravy, it arrived dry, ignoring our comments in the order. We placed our order through their website and appreciated the convenience of receiving a link on our phone once the food was ready for pickup at the designated station at CapHill Kitchens. Overall, while there were some shortcomings in our experience, I’m hopeful that our comments will be addressed for a better experience in the future.

I travelled to Seattle for couple days. I tried many indian restaurants but came back to this multiple times. Staff was very sweet. Food was really good. They always gave samples for sweet to try which was amazing aswell. I didnt find their food drooling in oil like how i found it in other restaurants. And the food felt fresh. We also used their 1+ 1 for biryanis couple times. Also they add jalapeños pretty much in everything , it wasnt a pblm for me but you can still tell them to add less/ or not. They customize for you aswell. We went to Mt Reiner and enjoyed our food with the views. I def recommend this restaurant.

This new spot just opened, and I believe it’s part of a chain of takeout-only restaurants. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations, but I ordered the Chicken 65 Biryani, and it was incredible! It’s the first Indian restaurant in Seattle where I found the flavors truly authentic. It’s not exactly cheap, but the biryani is amazing. A quick tip: order ahead and pick it up there. I’ll definitely be returning! UPDATE — I've ordered from this place several more times, but the quality and taste of the food have been inconsistent, which is why I've removed a star. Not sure what's going on lately.

Review of House of Chettinad – Seattle, WA

House of Chettinad in Seattle is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic South Indian Chettinad cuisine. Located in the heart of Capitol Hill at 1525 13th Ave, this small yet vibrant spot offers a rich and flavorful dive into the culinary traditions of Tamil Nadu.

The menu is a beautiful exploration of Chettinad flavors—known for its bold, spicy, and aromatic dishes. One standout is the Chettinad Chicken Curry, a must-try. It’s rich, spicy, and has a deep, complex flavor from the roasted spices that really shines through. The Fish Curry is another winner, with tender fish simmered in a flavorful, tangy gravy.

For vegetarians, the Vegetable Biryani is another flavorful option, perfectly spiced and complemented by a subtle sweetness.

What sets House of Chettinad apart is its dedication to authentic flavors. The spices are fresh and well-balanced, without overwhelming the dish. The service is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall warm and inviting atmosphere.

For those who enjoy South Indian cuisine, especially the fiery, aromatic delights of Chettinad food, this is a fantastic spot. Whether you’re a fan of spice or just looking to try something new, House of Chettinad delivers on both taste and quality. Highly...

I recently ordered from Dakshina Kitchen and was absolutely impressed! The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish had its own unique taste and was cooked with so much care that it really stood out compared to other places I’ve tried. You can tell they put thought into what they serve, and it made the whole meal feel special.

The delivery experience was just as great and the order arrived on time, everything was well-packaged, and the food was still hot and ready to enjoy. That kind of reliability adds so much value, especially when you’re ordering for a group or on a tight schedule.

One of the things I really appreciate about Dakshina Kitchen is that they are also open to customer feedback and genuinely care about improving their services. It shows in the quality they deliver now and gives me confidence they’ll only get better from here.

Between the delicious food, dependable service, and their commitment to listening to customers, Dakshina Kitchen is a restaurant I would recommend without hesitation. Whether it’s for a casual dinner, a family gathering, or even catering for an event, this place is a...

I placed a catering order for a gathering of 20 people (12 adults and 8 kids), and I couldn’t be happier with the food and service.

We ordered: • Appetizers: Gobi 65 Madras style & Karampodi Chicken (half trays each) • Curries: Paneer Butter Masala & House Chicken Curry (half trays each) • Biryani: Jackfruit Biryani (half tray) & Thalapakattu Goat Biryani (full tray)

The food was absolutely delicious! Each dish was packed with flavor and perfectly spiced. The appetizers were crispy and fresh, and the curries were rich and creamy, pairing perfectly with the house made chapaties. The Jackfruit Biryani was unique and a hit among the vegetarians, while the Thalapakattu Goat Biryani stood out as the crowd favorite.

Despite ordering for 20 people, we only had some curry leftover; the rest of the trays were completely wiped out, which speaks volumes about the quality and taste. The portion sizes were generous, especially for the biryanis, and everything was fresh and well-prepared.

Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely order from here again for future gatherings. Highly recommended for anyone looking for flavorful,...
