WOW!!! I am here on vacation and trying a different coffee spot every day and this place is it!!! Amazing coffee and tea. My wife got the Oatmilk Chai Latte, full of spice and delicious aromatic flavors. He has to make a spice infused syrup or something because this was next level chai!!! My iced Cafe mocha was perfectly smooth, with a rich cocoa flavor, and a velvet finish. Then we ordered a half turkey and a half roast beef sandwich. I really enjoyed the structural integrity of the bread it didn't fall apart, had a lovely chew and a fluffy interior. He lightly toasted the bread added a fig jam spread for the turkey and a horseradish spread for the roast beef. I truly enjoyed both of them. The pickled shallots really balanced and elevated the flavor of the roast beef sandwich beautifully. He dressed and seasoned the greens of each sandwich before layering them in there. (Big difference then dry greens) If you are working in the area and are in a rush, don't skip this place get up earlier and you will have a happier day! I was impressed with his one man show, definitely wears multiple hats but doesn't slack on quality. If I had to guess a well trained chef before opening up this gem of a coffee shop.

Flew into Seattle from Florida and this was our first meal together as a group! We saw it was rated very highly for breakfast and gave it a try. Located on the 2nd floor above a grocery store, all by its lonesome… WOWZERS! Food was the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time, everyone that got coffee / drinks enjoyed it and their baked sweets were astounding! The gentlemen taking orders was very hardworking and efficient. The only constructive criticism i’d like to give is to not have him be by himself. He was taking orders, making the food, brewing the coffee beverages and running the register, the whole Shazam. Just having one extra person there to alleviate some of the responsibilities would of made the experience that much better via efficiency. We had to wait over 10 mins to order with just us in line and close to half an hour for the last person in our party to receive their food (the rest of us finished by the time he got his food). But outside of waiting it was 100% worth it and I wanted to come back if we had another day.

5 years later update: STILL HERE AND STILL BOMB. Somehow this shop has not only stayed consistent, but gotten even better. Breakfast sandwiches are made fresh / to order on a flat top. This is not your pre-made reheated mushy bread and overcooked egg. Stop reading this and go right now. Love this place. Intimate little coffee spot nestled above QFC, of all places. The staff are consistently delightful, the breakfast sandwiches are made with a great deal of care...when I was here today I saw the barista forming sausage patties to-order. I went with bacon myself, but was not disappointed. Things aren’t corporate coffeehouse efficient, but the personality and the quality more than makes up the difference. One note of caution (or another positive, depending on your taste): they use Slate coffee beans, which some people love, but I find to be a little too fruit-forward personally. Regardless, I’m a big fan and highly recommend you stop by.

Konvene is located at one of the least likely places to have a good coffee shop: the mezzanine level of a QFC, not even a Whole Foods Market, a QFC. But don't dismiss Konvene because of its location, it's exactly the location that makes it a "hidden" gem.

As you enter the supermarket, you'll notice the stairs leading up half a floor to a neat, wooden storefront that immediately makes the QFC feel like a Whole Foods. There are a few small tables as well as a bar seating space around the mezzanine rails.

I have been to Konvene a couple of times and the coffee has been good (if not great), the overall experience is above my expectation as the tiny store does its best to provide a cozy, relaxing atmosphere with attentive service.

Unlike many coffee shops, Konvene makes its own breakfast items in its little kitchen. The menu is small, but the food is made to order and it is delicious. Their breakfast sandwich tastes fresh and juicy, especially the sausage in my sandwich has better texture than the normal supermarket patty. I always appreciate real food made in...
