Not a bad spot, food is very tasty, but prices are high and nearby Tanoor is a bit better for the same price in my opinion. That being said, it’s still worth stopping here.
Came here with a few friends on a Friday, the place was a bit emptier than I expected. The servers were very kind, but service was a bit on the slow side.
I ordered the Zahra cauliflower to start. I have to say, this was delicious, and I thought it was better than Tanoor’s cauliflower. It was very fresh, perfectly air fried, and the tahini sauce on top was really tasty. It was served on a bed of fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and I could tell they were really high quality as the tomatoes were sweet and juicy.
Next I got the Chicken Shawarma. They were out of basmati rice so they replaced it with saffron rice, I thought it was still tasty. It came as a large plate essentially with just chicken, rice, and sauce with some onions and seasonings. I found the sauce to be a little bit on the heavy side, but the flavors were still good and enjoyable.
Overall, I thought it was tasty, maybe I got the wrong main, but for an appetizer and main it’s easily over $35 a person.
I’d still recommend this place! It was a...
Read moreThe service by Miriam was top notch, she was extremely polite and bubbly, handling her tasks with apparent ease while the seats were filling up, she seemed to really enjoy working here and you can tell she really cares.
The food was great. I had the Spanokopita as an appetizer, the blend of the feta and spinach was wonderful and I could have eaten a gallon of the tzaziki. On the server's recommendation, I got the Gyro dish. I was not let down at all, the gyro meat was perfectly spiced, and generously topped with tzaziki. I really liked how it was deconstructed over a bed of rice, rather than in a pita. I finished it off with their Baklava, this is a must have. The presentation was nice to look at, you can tell the chef takes pride in his work. The pistachios and the filling were ground down almost to the consistency of ground coffee and the phyllo dough was nice and delicate, all of which worked perfectly together, but the star of that dish was the rose syrup...
Read moreThe food itself is delicious but some things spoil it. I ordered lamb kabob, especially asked if it had any chili in it because I can’t tolerate it, was told no chili, and the food came covered in chili powder. At that point, I hadn’t eaten for 9 hours and we had been waiting for our food for almost an hour so I didn’t return it. No one else’s food had chili - why was my covered in it?
The meat, vegetables and rice had great taste, but there was a lot of sauce on them and SO MUCH GARLIC. I didn’t taste anything else than garlic. Had to scrape my food from chili and garlic. My friend had fish and her file was swimming in garlic sauce. This was our first time so we didn’t expect it and didn’t know to ask for no sauce. It ruined a perfectly good, delicious food. My partner had gyro and he said it wasn’t...
