Amazing little hidden community gem, open for anyone to visit... If you can find it! There's a cool 60s Ford Galaxy that has become part of "the garden"- literally.
Lots of fruit/veggie and berry gardens- donated to the hungry. And healthy sectioned plots of flowers of all sorts ( my favorites were the poppies this year, until they all gone seemed to have gone "missing" a bit prematurely)-including honey bee pollenators and a bee hive section that I didn't even know was there until my 5th visit.
A cool place to visit and relax with a few chairs and feel almost in "nature" while being in the middle of the concrete jungle. Great idea and utilization of unused space. Wish there were more like this...
   Read moreThis is a remarkable example of what to turn the roof of a parking garage. Instead of blight, beauty. The pleasant droning of the numerous honeybees, sweet, earthy scents wafting over the raised beds, towering artichokes, delightful dahlias and beaming sunflowers. Tomatoes, basil, nastursiums and chard. Zinnias and lilies, cabbage green and red. Corn and beans...squashs...places to sit and soak it in. Please be respectful of the hard work and serenity...
   Read moreIf you're going to check it out, it's more fun on an overcast day. When the sun is out, the place is swarming with Instagram influencers posing in the middle of everything. You can spray for influencers, but they just keep coming back. I'd rather have aphids.
And don't steal stuff. It's a community plot garden, and people put a lot of work into those plants you...
