So delicious and we’ve been coming to Lady Yum everytime we make a trip to Seattle for the last few years. I decided to make an order for Father’s Day 3 days ago. It’s now Friday and Father’s Day is just two days away with no shipment notification. Tried contacting customer service with no luck so I tried calling the store that we normally go to. Blaire (This is who she addressed herself to be) was quite short and Kurt about how she could not help me. I was trying to get info on who I could get in touch with to check on my order and explained that I was worried my order might not arrive in time. She completely lost her cool and started yelling about how she already said she had no clue how to help me and that she needed to get to her actual customers in the store. I totally understand needing to help customers in store, but I felt as if her tone was overly aggressive. She had put absolutely zero customer service into the the phone call and was unnecessarily rude. When I told her she was coming off really rude and requested her name she yellled out, “BLAIRE FROM THE 6TH STREET AMAZON CAMPUS!!!” And hung up. After my experience with the delayed shipping despite paying $18 to get my order in two days and the horrible phone interaction I’m feeling like this will be the last time I order from Lady Yum, which is a shame since we’ve made Lady Yum a part of our celebrations and frequent...
Read moreI swear to god, if I see one more chump call these delightful creations “macaroons,” I’ll lose my head. MACARONS, people. Take notes: one singular o. That’s beside the point though, I suppose. I’ve been head over heels for this place ever since the first time I gave it a shot. The macarons are utterly divine. It confounds me how they’re able to so perfectly encapsulate a flavor profile into such a lil two-bite cookie sandwich. It feels like genuine, bona fide alchemy. And the sorcerers who come up with their litany of rotating flavors are truly so fantastic at their job that I can’t begin to make sense of it. I cannot say enough good things about this place, and it frustrates me that mere words don’t do it justice. Do yourself a favor and go try them. And don’t be afraid to try some flavors that make you wonder “How did they do that?” because you’ll be wondering that even more after trying them. The toasted coconut, salted caramel, and raspberry chardonnay are my favorite year-round flavors, but for every new month of rotating flavors, I’ll just say I’m never not astounded by at least one of them. Much love, Lady Yum! Keep doing your...
Read moreI ordered some of the delicious macarons last week on Thursday and received them in a really nice and simple but still attention grabbing package. I literally almost ate the whole pack. Had I got the macarons I wanted I probably would've ate them all the same day I got them. I am only giving this a 4 star because when I placed my order, I asked for certain ones to be replaced with extra of the ones I did want. They were not replaced. I took them to work hoping that someone would eat them but no one did, I ended up throwing them out. I didn't see anywhere on the site before ordering that they don't allow substitutions. Left a note asking for the changes and that was it. I got follow up emails but it was only a thank you email and a package tracking email. Neither one of them stated if they were able to accommodate the changes I'd ask for. So that's the reason for the four stars and it hurts my heart to even give that because the macarons are soooo extremely delicious and savoring. Maybe the next time I order, I will be able to get some type of feedback before the order is...
