Maria Sabina Mexican Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Seattle

My husband and I had just flown in from Southern California and were walking around near our hotel when we stumbled across this place, the decor looked nice and we were craving Mexican food so we decided to give it a try. We’re always hesitant trying Mexican food places in the PNW because it just doesn’t compare to the Mexican we’re used to… but wow! The margaritas are made with fresh juices and homemade simple syrup, and the food was incredibly flavorful and authentic. The homemade tortillas are to die for! The staff was kind and helpful and the owner, Pedro, paid a visit to chat with us as well. The only disappointment with Maria Sabina is we don’t have one near us in California! Well where do I start, the Expensive bill, or the customer service that wasnt up to par?!

I ordered 2 cocktails, 3 taquitos, Stuffed Bell pepper and the bill was $115 total!!!🤨 why so expensive? I could have went to a more upscale establishment and received more for the dollar amount I paid here. Kind of ridiculous in my opinion. The food wasnt even that great honestly. Just wanted to give a smaller restaurant some support....

Customer service didnt seem like she wanted to be there or even take our order. I get it, we all have long days but this was crazy for the amount I paid, if you're going to have 4 star restaurant prices, the service GOTTA match the price right?

The service, food and ambiance of Maria Sabina is lovely. Our server had great suggestions and was super attentive without being overbearing. A sweet and funny guy. I had enchiladas verde with chicken, my go to at new Mexican restaurants. It was delicious! They make all their own sauces and smoke all their meats. Definitely made all the difference!
