Northern Girls' Smokehouse — Restaurant in Seattle

First, I will say that the woman who brought the food to the counter was friendly. This review is strictly about the food.

This is definitely NOT a “smokehouse”. There is no smoker to be seen. The place is a ghost kitchen where all you can do is drive up or order online), order food and wait. There are several restaurants in the same building that you can also do takeout. Ok, back to the food…we ordered chicken, ribs, hot links and brisket with beans, greens and cornbread for the sides. This is definitely not barbecue at all. The meat (especially the brisket) was sooooo dry. Definitely no smoke ring to be found which you would definitely expect from a restaurant calling themselves a smokehouse. If you are looking for real bbq, this is definitely not it. I’d suggest driving a little further...

Order ahead, and expect OK bbq.

There's no eating nor waiting space, so if you order in person, you'll be standing for 40 minutes on the sidewalk.

I admit that colors my perception of the food a bit, but I think that's appropriate.

Brisket is fine, as tender as you'd expect but not much flavor without BBQ sauce. Baby back ribs kind of same. I don't know why I'd get them, brisket is better though. Beans are meh.

And last, collards were amazing! Highly recommend. Cooked in chicken broth with chicken, definitely worth the price and so flavorful.

Wish I'd ordered ahead, and wish the meat was as good as the collards TBH. Definitely coming back, though, maybe I'll get...
