When I walked in, I was not sure what to expect. It was quite empty, only two other tables. But this was hands down the best izakaya Japanese food I have had outside of Japan.

We had some chicken and pork skewers, karage, shio saba, and sushi.

Everything, was phenomenal.

The skewers were on the edge of being too salty which is exactly how they are at the small little stalls in Tokyo well that's all they do.

The shio saba perfectly seasoned, and moist and perfect on the inside.

The ozhizushi was a little surprising it was a spicy salmon, but it started off as just a smoky delicious salmon on a bright sushi rice, with the heat kind of coming up on the back end and hitting you in the face, in a good way.

And finally the karage was super juicy, crispy, well seasoned. The only downside was I felt it could have had a bit more spring onion flavor.

This was a great experience, that I never would have figured I would have here in America. I'll be back for sure, and if you are looking for great Japanese food at a good price, this is hands down one of the best.

Sorry I didn't get more photos, but I was enjoying eating it so much I...

I decided to go to this place because the usual sushi place in the area I go to was closed. I really liked the vibe of the restaurant and all of the decorations. Also everybody who worked there was really nice. They have these sushi box sets and they’re kind of expensive but definitely very very very yummy. They’re nigiri and sashimi prices are pretty good though and the fish tasted very fresh and the portions were large. The miso soup was really good too. The only reason why I gave it four stars out of five is that the sushi set box that I ordered I was told would come with Uni and then when I got my order it didn’t come with any. I wouldn’t of ordered these this box otherwise. I asked the waiter about it and he apologized but did not proceed to give me a Uni which I feel like probably would’ve been the best thing to do from a professional stance. However I will definitely visit again but it is a little bit more on the pricey side. Also the sake is...

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews about the front store waiter. When I dine in, Nothing was wrong with the server services. I get my water refill and even a quick presentation about each beautiful entrĆ©e courses. I went on a Saturday night 10pm, it was busy and lucky we took the last available table. Every dishes was prepare thoughtfully and well executed. Most importantly, I Like to address about the prices. It’s slightly in the higher end if you were to compare all the restaurants in the University way. However, you truly get the top quality seafood of what you paid for. Reviewers complaining about the price point aren’t understanding how restaurants have to go thur to prepare fresh ingredients at the same time beating the horrible inflation. This place is perfect for group gathering and for special occasions like when you ace your tough exams!! I highly...
