I walked in at 9:28 pm on a Wednesday night and was turned away. Their hours state they were supposed to be open until 10pm. I even told the lady we already knew what we wanted and could pay before we got the food and wouldn’t stay after 10 pm but she still said no. At the moment I asked her this, another couple walked in and she told them they also couldn’t stay. At this point I stated it’s weird for their hours to state they’re open until 10pm if they‘ll just close whenever they want. Almost as if someone was listening and wanted to prove my point for me, a group of seven people walked in and I told them they were closed and they should go spend their money elsewhere. The group complained “what, are you serious??? It’s barely 9:30?...” I’ve worked in restaurants for about 4 years and have worked the closing position countless times. I understand it’s frustrating seeing customers walk in at the last minute when you’re ready to go home, but that comes with the dang job. Even if the manager wasn’t on duty, we never turned customers away. It’s rude and frustrating.. Not to mention, there were literally three tables of people already dining, with two of them already finished. Anyone who works in restaurant business understands that you make the most money in the last two hours and it’s an idiotic business move to close early especially when your place of business is located inside of an ever growing city that is developing its night life and...
Read moreI came to Racha to get lunch and use my Passport Corporate discount savings. The person at the cash register taking our order (who I’m assuming was the owner) did everything in his power to prevent me from using it. We ordered our food and mentioned right away that we had a discount from passport corporate so that he knew. He immediately said it was for dinner only. I showed him my screen which stated it was for lunch and dinner. He then changed his answer to saying it was for dining in only - which I also was able to show him the part stating dine in or carry out. After that his next move was to tell us flustered that other locations have different rules. At this point I don’t care about my discount it’s just the principle- so I show him his restaurant location on the same line of the text as all the other information. In fact it’s the only location for Racha Thai on the entire platform. Mind you this whole thing happened in a span of 40 seconds I wasn’t trying to make a big deal of it. But If you are going to list your restaurant on a corporate platform to entice people in.. just honor what you state. We didn’t like the game...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, came here on a saturday night, it wasnt overly crowded we were seated right away. Sat for about 15 minutes before our waitress came over to take our drink orders. We decided to order everything at once since it looked like she was the only actual waitress working. Our chicken satay came out quickly, but much to quickly because it was RAW, the crab and shrimp rolls were excellent though. Another 20 minutes passed with out anyone stopping by our table. When our entrees came our I informed the waitress that the chicken was raw and she apologized and took it away. The yellow curry had great flavor but the chicken in it was cold as if it had been pre cooked and refrigerated and then tossed into the curry. The pad see ew was great. When we got our check the saray was still on the bill so I asked our waitress if she could remove it and she did. Then as we were standing up to leave the food runner brought out new chicken satay which we refused since we were a bit traumatized from biting into the last one and it being raw. Overall the food had good potential but poor execution and the service...
