This place was okay. It was very busy, so that says a lot. We went on Christmas morning, so we appreciatived they were even open and thank their staff for being willing to work. Thank you thank you!
With that said, the food was okay, not like OMG I have to have this again and try everything in the menu, but not like yuck that was gross either. A good meal, for a decent price (especially compared to other places in Sedona).
My wife had the juevos rancheros and it was a little bland for our taste. Needed salt or salsa, or something to give it some flavor. We're used to seeing a fried corn tortilla under the eggs, but they had a flour tortilla. It tasted good, but the tortilla got a little soggy under all the beans and stuff. Overall it was good for the price. I might just ask if they could do a fried corn tortilla next time.
I had the fish sandwich. It was good, but again a little bland. I asked for tartar sauce on the side since it didn't come with any (which I thought was kind of weird). With the tartar sauce, pickle, lettuce, and tomatoes, it gave it decent flavor. Again, I have a salty palette, so it could've used salt in my opinion. Other people might think it's perfectly fine. The bread was nice and soft though. Very good bread!
The staff was very sweet and decently attentive. We never felt like "dang, are we ever gonna get service" even though they were very busy, so that is a huge plus for them.
Overall, it was good, but we did leave feeling like maybe we should've tried a different place just to be honest. Hope you guys try it and see for yourself. Maybe try the breakfast instead, I saw some pancakes come out to a table next to us that looked...
Read moreThe waiter and host were friendly, but almost everything else was a big disappointment. We ate Mexican food, and the chips were hard (not light and flaky) and the salsa lacked flavor. We ordered meals with green sauce, but they were served with red sauce. I ordered a beef taco, but received a chicken taco. The waiter resubmitted the order, but then we ended up getting a few ground beef tacos instead of shredded beef tacos on the next go around. Fortunately, the food came quickly, which was helpful, but all of the Mexican food was bland except for the chile relleno, which had good flavor. They did take 15% off our bill for the hassle and they did offer us a free dessert (we did not accept it), which was kind of them. We felt that the food was overpriced for what we received and that the flavor was not up to par. Also, the waiter was very kind, but he entered our order in wrong twice. I'm surprised that this restaurant has such a high rating based on our...
Read moreThis was a random stop for us hungry travelers visiting Sedona.
We visited in Aug. during the COVID pandemic. I would say this restaurant was lacking COVID mask wearing and cleaning if you are concerned about this. Our server wore a mask at our table. This was my first restaurant I visited in my recent travels (more than half a doze locations) that was not open with their COVID policies and obvious with cleaning and hand sanitizer), so I was little surprised.
The menu is extensive with all day breakfast available (my understanding). Great for our party that had different moods for late morning, early afternoon meal.
Food portions were large. I ordered a Torta Cubana, a very large stacked sandwich. It was difficult to bite into (enjoyable!) and was tasty. Not quite my preference for sandwich, but I enjoyed trying something new. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal.
I think service was great, however we didn't have water...
