We had the WORST experience at this location today. I am never one to complain or even leave negative reviews, but today was one of the worst experiences as a customer that I have ever experienced. I ALWAYS lead with kindness being that I’m also in management so I definitely want to prevent this from happening to anyone else and want the owners to be aware of who they are hiring as employees, let alone “management”. I placed an online order today for my dad’s birthday, we were driving in from Kyle so I made the pick up for 5:45pm. When driving in to San Antonio I realized we may run late due to traffic and saw that the location closed at 6:00pm. I called the store and my call was given to the manager. I explained the situation and that we would arrive later than their 6:00pm close time. The manager said “we close at 6:00, I can not stay past 6:05.” I then said that’s ok, we won’t make it until around 6:10 pm. I asked if there were any other options for the cake being that I had already paid for it. She said we don’t issue refunds only store credit. I proceeded to say that’s fine please just give me the store credit and I can come in another day. She then said, I can wait until you all get here. Which was kind, I was extremely appreciative and thanked her. My husband and I ran into traffic on 35 and did not arrive at the store until 6:27pm. I called a few times to let her know but I’m sure the phones were already turned off which is completely understandable. When we arrived my husband walked to the door to pick up the cake and saw that the manager was still in the store, again I was so appreciative that she waited. What she did not know was that I am currently 7 months pregnant, so my husband was helping me by going to get the cake while I waited in the car. While my husband was at the door, she would not come to the door. Through the glass I could hear my husband tell her “my wife spoke to you over the phone”. She then comes and cracks the door and tells my husband that it’s past 6:10, which is ridiculous. If you are still at the store waiting for us as the manager why is this how you are greeting customers? Secondly, which should never be an issue is my husband and I are African American and I feel like my husband was mistreated solely for this reason. My husband tells her, it’s ok please just issue us a store credit we don’t need the cake. She closes the door on my husband and then proceeds to take a picture of him after she closed the door on him. We were never given our cake and I hope that this is the last time that this manager judges anyone solely based on the color of their skin. Why wait at the store until we arrive just to tell us we arrived later than 6:10pm? As a manager lead with kindness, and offer solutions. While we were appreciative of her waiting I never would have come to the store, let alone been ok with her waiting had I known my husband was going to be mistreated. I will never order a cake from nothing Bundt cakes again if this kind of service is tolerated and this is how your employees...
Read moreWe have always loved Nothing Bundt Cakes and have been loyal customers for years. Today, we purchased a large decorated White Chocolate Raspberry cake, which is reasonably priced at $64. For a quality cake, that price would be worth it—if the service matched. Unfortunately, we’ve had issues in the past with their decorated cakes because they come wrapped in cellophane with no box to store them in once opened. To avoid this, we specifically requested a box, even offering to pay for it if necessary. However, we were told they were out of boxes—seriously? At noon on a Wednesday? To make matters worse, we saw other customers leaving the store carrying cakes in boxes, which made the excuse even more frustrating. It’s disappointing that despite offering such a great product, they don’t seem to prioritize good customer service. Honestly...
Read moreThe worst experience ever. My order of an 8” confetti cake turned into an 8” marble cake. The cake was a surprise for my friend who was celebrating her birthday today. She called to inform me of the error. I contacted the store and they corrected the error with no issue. My concern is the customer service I received afterwards. My husband went to pick up the cake and found a lovely post it note on the box. It read: -I’ll take it out she’s grumpy-Bri This note was intentionally left on the box. I called back and received nothing but excuses about the note. I was never rude and understood mistakes happen. Not five minutes after speaking to the bakery, Bri calls me to apologize but to also defend herself. The audacity!!!!! The call did not go well at all. I have reached out to corporate. I’m done with...
