We went here for lunch for the first (and last) time on Saturday 11/4/23.
Firstly, the service, I dont want to bag on our waitress too much, I feel she was somewhat a victim of poor planning by the hostess. But we barely saw her and usually when we did she did not stop to see how we were doing until I had to physically wave her down to come over. I found out at the end of our time there that ALL her other tables were on the literal opposite side of the restaurant and we were her only table on the end by the mall. So all the tables around us were getting really great attention from another lady but we were just ignored, which was frustrating to say the least.
Next, the food. We tried the fried items, the shrimp, the chicken and the scallops - all with fries. I think its very lame that you cant upgrade your fries to the crab fries by paying the difference... why, if I'm ordering meals that come with fries should I have to order a completely NEW order of fries to get the crabby fries? just let me pay the $8 difference between a side a fries and the crabby fries and get on with my life.
The Scallops were straight up disgusting, I had one and it was mushy, seawater. I've never had these before, maybe thats what they are supposed to taste like but I hated it. The Chicken and the shrimp were both good, I have nothing bad to say about them. Also, the fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings were all decent.
The other thing I got was clam chowder, which was an insult to god and nature. Correct me if I'm wrong but clam chowder is supposed to 1 - be thick and delicious and 2 HAVE CLAMS IN IT! The chowder itself was SUPER watery and mostly celery and little potato bits. Like, did they forget to thicken it? It was the consistency of ramen broth. And there were a total of two (2) tiny clams in it. I know this because they cam in the shell so I had to pick the shell out of my soup and scrape the little morsel into it. I guess they do this to prove that there is at least 1 clam in the soup to justify it being called clam chowder. But I would rather just spend $3 on a can of Campbells Chunky soup than eat this swill again.
Lastly, the music in the place was 2nd tier slow jams R&B. This made overall atmosphere kinda depressing as it was either a slow love song or a slow break up song one after another.
We will not...
Read moreBeen to this location a few times even though I don’t live in Maryland. We were a party of 7 and when we got there, we waited for about 15 mins before I got up to figure out where our waiter was. He tells us she swallowed her tongue ring and she’s trying to manage that situation smh. He proceeds to take our drink orders and since we had been waiting, we wanted to place our food order. He said he was only taking drinks and our server would be with us shortly. We ended up getting Korin who was the worst ever. Because she knew she was getting gratuity due to the party size, she gave very crappy service. She forgot people’s orders, I wanted my soup before my meal but got them at the same time. One other person asked for shrimp with no head and got the head. By the time she got her meal corrected, the table was almost done eating. Due to all the mistakes she was making, we were frustrated but she had the nerve to have an attitude. Granted mistakes happen, but apologize for the mishaps and do your best. She didn’t care cause she knew she was getting her tip regardless. We asked for a manager and was told the manager was Asian and didn’t speak much English. So another server came to our table to be the middle woman. We told her we don’t mind paying for our food but we don’t want to tip Korin. She came back with 10% off the bill and said they can’t take the tip off. I said how can Asian manager understand taking 10% off a bill but can’t understand and communicate with some dissatisfied customers. We eventually got up to leave and ran into the Asian lady who we thought was the manager. Only to find out the manager was a Caucasian lady who could have addressed our complaint and concerns. The Asian lady was the owner. The worst customer service experience ever and won’t...
Read moreFirst time, probably last time. The resturant needs a more cohesive work flow.
The atmosphere was good until it wasn't. Whatever, R&B station they had playing was decent until it wasn't and it kind of killed the vibe.
Food was good, at least what I ordered which was the snowcrab special. It came with snow crab legs, potatoes, corn, shrimp, and sausage. The crab was good and the shrimp were large, the sausage is very, very thin and easily lost in the sauce and corner of the bags. I got it in the Boom sauce and asked for the fire seasoning "dry", per their menu (which states it could be asked for dry/on the side.)
Which leads me into service...
When we arrived there was only 2 tables sat. Why they decided to give our table to a girl whom they ended up seating all her other tables upfront and away from us (we later found out after it took 20 minutes to pay for our meals) is beyond me. This lead to us not being attended to, or attended to appropriately.
We asked for refills on drinks, they came 15 minutes later and were wrong.
We had to wait forever and flail around to get her attention to ask for anything.
The clam chowder my friend ordered, came out way late (after we were almost done our food, was super watery, and literally had 2 whole clams (shell and all) in it.
Aside being sat, hardly attended to, stuck in there for almost 2 hours just because we weren't getting service (again, we ended up not faulting our waitress, she was in a rock and a hard place too).
Food decent but not worth my time. If in a rush (eating before a movie or the casino) I would eat elsewhere. If you have time to kill and enjoy R&B that turned into trap in an industrial...
