What...a...disappointing experience. My friend and I (and her kids) came here last Wednesday for dinner—made reservations on the Yelp app! We checked in with the host but was told there would be a short wait because we had an additional person not on the original reservations—that was understandable. The waiting area is too congested and there is not enough space for social distancing, so we decided to wait outside.
We were greeted by our server, got our bread and drinks in a timely manner. I would recommend the Passion Mint Fizz drink, it’s delicious and refreshing! Food wise, I usually tend to order the same dishes: my friend and I shared the Cobb Salad and the Hibachi Steak (cooked medium). The kids got the Chicken Strips and it was good! The Cobb Salad was great. The first bite of our Hibachi Steak was just how it always taste—delicious! But then looking at our second piece, the steak was bright pink—looks rare-medium now! We definitely can’t eat it now. We call our server to flag the situation, and she starts telling us how frustrated she is because it was the fourth time the kitchen has messed up a meat order for her customers! She lets us know that she’ll have a manager come handle the situation. The manager, P. comes over and we tell him how the steak is undercooked—he tries to deflect and explain that the steak sauce has a red color to it and often the steak looks more pink/red than what it really looks—NO WAY! After us insisting that it was not the sauce, and showing him actual pictures we took of the steak (with flash), he finally agrees to have the kitchen re-make a new one. He apologizes but it does not seem genuine. We told him only the steak needed to be remade, that we would keep the current sides and no need for new ones. Well, time goes by and we still haven’t got our new steak—we barely see the server or manager for a while. The kids are all done with their food at this point and we have finished our salad as well. After 40 mins, the steak (just the steak, nothing else!) finally comes out. 40 MINUTES!!! The steak was cooked medium—but by that time we had lost our appetite.
Here’s the kicker. The bill comes out and the Hibachi Steak dish is on there. We are shocked—they messed up our dish and took even longer to remake it! We flag our server who seemed agitated with us—the manager takes a long time before coming to come speak with us again. My friend explains the situation (very calmly)—manager P. would not comp the dish, he kept trying to offer free dessert instead and kept dismissing the idea of comping our steak. After continued discussion for a while and explaining why we felt that it was unfair, he finally agreed to remove the dish off the bill. As a manager, it just seemed like he didn’t care much that customers were unhappy—it was the restaurant who didn’t cook the food correctly and had time management issues! I come to Cheesecake Factory pretty often and this was the worse experience...
Read moreFirst of all let me say I was VERY disappointed to drive all the way here to this location from PA as this specific location had many old memory’s with my parents and growing up being a treat to go to and a wonderful time, but now I would steer clear of this location, yes we got sat down after a 45 min wait (which was fine bc it was at lunch with no reservations) but when I got seated I had to wait another 30+ minutes to even get my drinks, and ya better know what you want bc it took our waiter another THIRTY minutes to get back to us to even put our food order in which I knew they were busy ish but you look around the restaurant it was EMPTY by that time I have no idea what our waiter was doing but that was the first thing, when the food finally came my burger was “eh” as it just was not flavorful ok for a burger but for the price it was so so, and to the waiter got my fries wrong which wouldn’t be a big deal but SHE NEVER SHOWED UP AGAIN me and my girlfriend were left there for about a hour not being checked on or anything and ended up having a different waitress come and ask us if we were ok bc she noticed that no one was even in our section, but my girlfriends food was the problem she got some chicken dish (The Chicken Maderia ) but the potatoes were good to me but had no seasoning but the chicken was RAW in sections of if which she didn’t know bc of how much sauce was on it, and the asparagus was undercooked and was hard to bite through, my cherry on top was she ended up throwing up afterwards bc of the chicken and I ended up having diarrhea after trying her meal as well and after all that I didn’t even order cheesecake because I lost my trust in that place for me to pay as much as I did and get FORGOTTEN about and a slight case of food poisoning this in all my years of eating out was the WORST place I have ever gone to and I hate to say that with all the memories I had of that place but it is just not what it used to be and I will NEVER be going back you couldn’t pay me to trust this locations food again and I don’t like leaving negative reviews bc I follow my rule of 3 but getting slight food poisoning is a huge problem for me going and trying it again so I won’t be and be advised y’all this location is NOT worth going to I would much rather go to another cheesecake location then this one it’s not worth the risk of food poisoning and for the HORRIBLE service being FORGOTTEN unacceptable for a place that charges so...
Read moreI had to leave a review because I was highly disappointed with our service initially and how the manager responded. My best friend and I came to eat after a long day out. We arrive the two host greet us (could have shown more hospitality but they weren't rude atleast) they take us to our table. We are excited to sit down and relax. We were starving and very thirsty. Needless to say, we had no idea service was about to be a horrible experience. We sat there waiting for 5 or more minutes to be greeted by our server mind you it was around 830pm on a Sunday, and they were not busy at all. She finally came to the table with no bread, no greeting, not even her name. She rudely asks do we want to order drinks. We say yes ginger ales and we would like to order an appetizer- Fried zucchini. It took her another 5-10minutes to bring our drinks out. When she does the ginger ale is in bottles and need a bottle open to open.... She didn't bring them open and poured.... had to wait for her to come back to tell her our drinks need opened at this point we 15-20mins into our time here and still have no drink to sip and we were thirsty. She then brings the drinks back opened and says y'all ready to order with an attitude. Her entire energy was off like she hated her job, or we did something to her. I was beyond myself at this point, so I asked for a manager. He comes to the table, and I let him know I would like to request a new waitress or waiter as the one we have is extremely rude. He says really.... like sir that is your response, and I'm supposed to feel good about dropping 100+ dollars on food here? He assigns a new waitress, and she was very nice and pleasant. I pulled her to ask if she knew when our appetizer was coming. She went to check and come to find out the prior rude waitress never even put our appetizer in. Mind you now our entrees are coming out before the appetizer.... manager never came back to the table to check on us nor were we offered any kind of discount or anything for this experience. Needless to say, I will never again visit this cheesecake factory. That waitress should be fired as she clearly isn't the type of energy I would want to handle my customers. The manager seemed way too careless and laid back and I don't feel did anything to make this better for us. I would love to speak to corporate if they would like to...
