I went there for the first time this weekend for a comedy show. There was plenty of parking so no issues there. Once at the venue, I was ushered through a series of gates which, at first, made me feel special. Now granted, I paid really good money for the seats and the show.
Once inside, the memories began to flood as it felt like I'd walked into my old high school cafeteria waiting for the principal to deliver a special message to the school. There was a set of pull out bleachers on the back wall followed by rows and rows of hard chairs clipped together. No incline either. Just one big flat room with a bunch of hard chairs. And remember, I paid good money for the show. A couple days later, my back is still tight from the principal's speech. There were two bars on the inside. One looked normal, while the rear bar looked thrown together with a few tables to hold the drink selection. Typical bar selection and prices there, so no surprise.
But there's more....
The audio inside the venue was not good at all. At times, you could barely hear what the performer was saying. Other times, it didn't work. And the cameraman must have been laughing because half the time the side screens displayed the stage floor. The lighting was ok. I'll give them that.
Now for the exit. When we exited, you would think we could leave from one of the many doors we walked into but you'd be wrong. Instead, 4,000 people were ushered through the casino area, immediately having to navigate through slot machines and people praying for the big hit.
All together, I will give them another chance as I always do. But speaking with other people at the show, it appears that this is the norm for The Hall at Live. It's sad because they have big performers come through that demand big money. For those who have lived in Maryland for awhile, we know that Live! was an afterthought. They should seriously revamp the Hall to make it a better experience for people. The one plus was that the staff was friendly. The...
Read moreTerrible experience with this casino. The doorman to our entrance however was awesome on the way in and was very consoling on our way out. We had to leave immediately and leave our own money behind at a malfunctioning machine. A personal emergency lead to our need to leave the casino immediately. I "cashed out" and the machine malfunctioned prompting an attendant to respond. We spoke to three different attendants trying to get this resolved and we were assured someone would "be notified by the machine" and would come assist us. I needed help NOW! I had my money in your machine and needdd to leave due to an emergency and was prevented from doing so due to this malfunction. The last person I spoke too (after being directed to speak to this specific individuals colored jacket). When approaching this individual with my concern I was forced away from the area as if I was in a restricted area. This is beyond ridiculous and if I was in an area I shouldn't have been (after being directed by another employee) there should have been portable signs etc showing they needed the public to keep away. This was not the case. I have now had to leave this establishment with my Money still left in the machine. I EXPECT a reply from corporate or a manager on this post so we can fix this obvious bullshit customer experience you have left me with. The denomination amount I left in that machine due to the inability of your staff responding to a simple machine malfunction was nothing to me financially... but could have been everything to someone else. This conduct is ludicrous. I also have video and ample proof of my need to leave my money there after expressing my need to leave immediately due to an emergency and my need for help from staff. After waiting 15 minutes I could no longer justify waiting for obviously no help. Especially after being made feel like a criminal for no reason. P.s. again the doorman was great....
Read moreThis, by far, is the worst experience I have ever had at venue/show. To begin, it was pitch black once you got inside and the lighting was non existent. While this is all fine and expected, what was not expected is the limited staff available to assist, and when you were able to locate a staff member in the dark, they were useless. They had no interest in helping. They would point and say, that way! Are you kidding me??On top of that, your phone was locked in a security pouch taking away the option to use its light to try to find your way on your own. Again, this was understood! But, you cant take away ones resource and not have staff around that are willing to help guide you to the appropriate area. We were wondering around aimlessly trying to locate our section, having to interrupt the seated guests asking them what section they were in, trying to gage where we should be. Finally, we arrive at our section, row and seats...Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse! The acoustics/ sound system, whatever you want to call it, was trash! I could barely hear the jokes! I struggled the whole show trying to hear what was being said. In most cases I missed the punchline because I couldn't hear the whole set. All of the speakers are at the front of this venue! It makes no sense to have a venue this large and not have speakers in the front middle and back! I'm truly devastated and would like my money back! I love Kevin Hurt and waited months for this show! Traveled hours! Totally and completely disappointed! You have to do better. I'm looking for resolve to this...
