We arrived early for our reservation and restaurant was half empty, we put our apps in pretty quickly and upon the servers next visit selected 3 meats for the bbq. We ordered 3 appetizers, 15 mins after the order was placed the server let us know they were out of the dumplings we ordered. That’s okay. 5 minutes later the japchae lands but we still hadn’t gotten the gizzards, we asked the server and after 30 mins had passed since we ordered they let us know they were also out of the gizzards. Drinks took a long time, in a two hour visit we managed 2 rounds, we ordered a third that never made it and had to be removed from the check. The raw meat didn’t make it onto the table for over an hour and when we spoke to the manager they apologized saying they were busy pointing at all the tickets in their kitchen window (they’d filled up since we got there an hour before) and they would try to get it out fast. The male manager acknowledged the items had been removed from the check as if it were a courtesy, which at this point was a little upsetting as a response because of course you removed them… we never got them. The server was clearly flustered and the managers did a bad job at supporting her. We spent 300 on a dinner we couldn’t enjoy as we had lost our appetite eating our sole appetizer and steamed egg they removed from the check as a courtesy…11 dollars off. To add insult to injury the couple next to us had only been there 30 mins and gotten their full meal. We did not feel like our time or money were appreciated here and now we have a cold dry wagyu steak in our fridge with hard rice to show for it when we got full off of a steamed egg and sweet...
Read moreThe owner was on site and the Staff was friendly . The restaurant has a pleasant welcoming atmosphere. Was greeted at the door by a wonderful polite woman named Kim( the manager) ,who showed me to my seat. Immediately I was approached by the waiter when I sat down . His name was Lam and he was polite and asked if I would like something to drink . I ordered a passion fruit green tea . There was another lady who walked over and he told about the tea , she left and got it for him. He then came back and asked if I had been to the establishment before and if I needed help with anything on the menu . After a small discussion I decided to order chicken wings and filet mignon. I was then brought sides immediately after I ordered my steak . A small salad , kimchi, spicy sauces, rice , a sweet radish ( which I actually liked a lot) and a small helping of squid . The as I enjoyed my salad first they brought out my steak and my chicken . The steak was cooked right in front of me as was some veggies and peppers in the grill in the middle of the table . Fresh water was also available as a drink while I ate with a small jug to refill my cup. The chicken wings were delicious as an appetizer seasoned to perfection. The steak was cooked by the server to what I exactly wanted . The dining room was clean and bathroom was also clean . The filet was delicious . I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to experience something new . It’s located just inside the doors of the Live casino and you can bring your children inside it like the Cheese Cake...
Read moreI recently visited Korean House at Live! Casino yesterday for takeout and had an extremely uncomfortable experience. I ordered the Korean Chicken Wings and the Seafood Pancake — both smelled good, but the service experience left a lasting negative impression.
While waiting in the lobby, I noticed a refrigerator with a nice selection of Korean alcoholic beverages. Not seeing a sign, I briefly opened the door, only to immediately feel a wave of discomfort from the staff. A manager gave me a sharp, unfriendly look and began speaking in Korean to a colleague. Shortly after, a man approached me and asked what I ordered, then abruptly told me, “This isn’t a liquor store.” The way it was said felt condescending and racially charged — like I was being accused of something without cause.
After that, several staff stood around the refrigerator area as if they were guarding it, which only deepened my sense of being profiled. I even said aloud that I might want a refund, as the situation felt hostile and uncomfortable. No one addressed my concerns directly or tried to de-escalate the situation. I collected my food and left, but I will not return.
As an African American customer, I felt singled out and disrespected. If you're considering this place for takeout, be aware that the environment may not feel welcoming. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic dignity — regardless...
