T.J. Maxx — Local services in Severn

Today, I was at the Arundel Mills location with my twin boys, ages 16. We went to the counter, and after some small conversation with the cashier about getting a tjmaxx credit card, of which I have, the cashier gave me the total $200. My sons had some hats and Timberland gloves. I asked her how much was the gloves, and she said $14. I told her to take them back, because we were going to the Timberland outlet Black Friday. Before I could get my sentence out, she said to my sons," Y'all dad is Hook Wink and Bamboozling y'all. How he gonna get all his stuff and not get all your stuff. Y'all not gonna say nothing. What kind of father is he? I wouldn't stand for it, etc." Then afterward, she said " I have some good kids" to justify her wrong. I have NEVER BEEN so insulted in my life. After we left, my son asked me why did that lady say all that horrible stuff to me? I went back and asked to speak to the manger. I told him what happen. He apologized. I told him I want to take back everything, because this was painful. He went to the counter, and the insulting cashier came over and said, "Oh he bringing the stuff back already?" LOUDLY, in front of everyone. The manager told her don't say anything. She completely ignored him and had an exchange with me, and she tried to say she didn't say it. As if I made the story up or I was lying. Then she apologized, but the damage was done. She humiliated me in front of my kids and people. I am so offended and hurt. Words cannot explain. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a retail store. I am totally offended. Please don't let what happened to me, happened to...

Horrible Experience Today! I found a bag that I would like to purchase unfortunately the bag had a torn tag and I asked the Cashier to scan it for me and check to see if it was the right tag because it seemed to good to be true. She said I was right it did not scan up to be a match and she told me to go get something similar so she can scan it. When I brought a similar item back someone ranged me up and I explained the situation to him and the previous cashier was extremely rude and yelled and cursed at me stating she didn’t tell me to go to the back. Why would I waste my time searching for one if it wasn’t going to be considered as a method to solve the problem? So I said I want to see your manager and the cashier began yelling at me in front of other customers I have it all on video. And I am extremely upset with her behavior. The supervisor had to apologize for her behavior and said that the cashier normally doesn’t behaves that way but THAT IS NO EXCUSE!!!! The cashier even over talked her supervisor and said she doesn’t care and “Yes she did yell and was behaving rude” and the supervisor had to raise her voice just to get the cashier to remain quiet which still didn’t work. I will be looking in to further actions and going public with my video so everyone can see how rude the customer service is at Hanover TJ Maxx at Arundel Mills. That cashier should be Terminated for how she treated me and the supervisor. She obviously does not appreciate her Job and she running your customers away. I WILL NEVER RETURN...

I bought a addidas gym bag from there and it had a rip on the bottom so I went back the next day to return it. I found another bag that is exactly the same size but diff colors it was $2 more. I went to the cashier to exchange it and asked if they can change the price to what I paid since there is a rip, he told me he needed to ask the head cashier so I hear them talking and she told him " no! It's not our fault that it had a rip in it, she needs to pay the difference !" I could hear her talking loudly, I was toward the front while she was maybe 7ft away! She sounded so rude and loud, but they took it back and I paid the difference which I didn't mind doing that, it didnt hurt to ask, but damn she didn't have to be so nasty about it! he came back and I said well she said no? And he agreed. It's the big black lady that's "head cashier or manager" idk which one she is. She looks mean as hell anyways.
