We had a phenomenal experience with our server earlier in the evening while sitting in one of the lounge areas, which makes it disappointing to have to write this review. After closing our tab, our group of eight moved to the dart area near the bar. My friend and I went to the bar to start a new tab. It was about an hour before closing, the bar wasn’t busy, and there were two bartenders working. After standing at the bar for about five to seven minutes without being greeted, the female bartender with short dark hair finally approached us. Unfortunately, she was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. She asked—very abruptly—if I wanted to start a tab or close one. I responded, ā€œI wanted to open a tab for all of us, but you’re giving me the vibe I shouldn’t,ā€ because she truly made me feel like we were bothering her. She then slammed my card and ID down on the bar and said, ā€œYou all aren’t getting anything.ā€ We immediately spoke with the manager about what happened, but she was also dismissive and unhelpful. Rather than trying to understand or resolve the situation, she was defensive and offered no accountability. Two guests sitting next to us at the bar even told us they were shocked by how rude and unprofessional the bartender had been—they witnessed the entire exchange and couldn’t believe how we were treated. It’s unfortunate to see that kind of behavior from both a bartender and a manager. We will not be returning, and I would strongly recommend that others spend their hard-earned money at establishments that actually value their guests and promote a respectful, welcoming environment. Don’t work in the service industry if you can’t be...

I would like to start off with I do absolutely adore this place, it’s very cozy and it’s has so many activities and great drink choices. What a wonderful historical place that i’m so glad opened back up. This is where i get the 3 starts from we just left because this group of loud people who were so drunk they never should’ve been served. Period. The one girl tried to ā€œsign inā€ to he bar at the shuffleboard table??? and no she was not doing to play shuffleboard got frustrated and then went to us and was said ā€œI’m I ruining your date night? awww too badā€ and then walked off to he bar and no we didn’t even do or saying anything for us to come up to us because i believe in minding my business. However her and her yelling friends were served. Which for the safety of everyone is not the okay whatsoever. Another thing that bother me not this time but the last two was the immense amount of people with kids, running around and screaming. I love family friendly places and i fully believe that the world needs to be more kid friendly! However i do think a 9 o’clock curfew would be very beneficial, because if i cannot hear myself because a kid who is unattended is throwing balls and running everywhere is screaming it’s not a good experience for us ether. We really don’t get to go out a lot as this world has gotten expensive i also understand that to run a business is expensive so when i go out I just want to have a fun night. I will still continue to go here as i adore this place and it’s staff but I do feel like it’s my responsibility to let you know...

We used The Pines Downtown for a rehearsal dinner location. The private room was a great place for all wedding party members to mingle, eat, and play games. Working with Christine in the months prior to the event made things simple and easy upon arrival. She was easy to contact and always answered her calls. She was very helpful in selecting foods to serve. When we arrived, the venue was so much more then we expected - with this being a destination wedding, we did not know what to expect. We were also very pleased with the service provided by, Chelsea, during the event. She was on top of all our needs, from setting up decorations to setting up the buffet to ensuring our drinks were always full. The food was delicious and the drinks were made very well. The smiles and laughter from the bride and groom resonates how much they loved The Pines Downtown and the service they provided to their family and friends. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a rehearsal dinner venue, or any...

We stopped in yesterday after checking into our hotel to grab some drinks, food and watch some college football. It was a great way to end my birthday celebration because this place was fantastic! We started with some drinks and then went with the spinach & artichoke pizza and the loaded tater tots. The pizza tastes better than it looks but the tater tots are PHENOMENAL. Now I do think they should have a plate underneath because the amount of grease that dripped onto the table was quite surprising. They were the best loaded tots we've had. The service was fantastic and everyone who came to check on us was spectacular. We are from Greenville South Carolina and we can say this would be extremely successful in our area. We played some Mario kart and the sliding wood disc game. Great idea and we wish you nothing but success! Not sure why this is listed as a hotel though.

Have been to The Pines several times and decided to have my šŸ’…šŸ¾ Barbie themed birthday party here. Christine, the manager was so pleasant and easy to work with. She communicated every step of the way and was sure to do a final check in before event. Ordered 3 different wing flavors, waffle fries, tots & margarita tower. Everyone absolutely LOVED 🩷 the food (lots of 2nd and 3rd trips for the food šŸ˜‚many compliments from my out of state friends regarding the seasoning of the fries and the RANCH-they couldn’t get enough) and the drinks were good and STRONG! Good vibes, good people, good food and overall good time! šŸ’…šŸ¾šŸ’…šŸ¾šŸ’…šŸ¾

This place nails the vibe. It’s a pub with duckpin bowling…so you get the fun of bowling without the clunky shoes and serious league energy. There’s tons of space to hang out, whether you’re just grabbing a drink or staying for hours with friends. The bar is legit…great drink selection, good energy…and the food is way better than your typical bar grub. Think elevated, not overpriced. Perfect spot for a chill night that still feels a little special. It can appear closed from the outside…so don’t be intimated, it’s super cool inside. Owners may want to consider some inviting open signage on the windows.
