Waste of money, avoid this place! If only I could give them a 0 rating. Ordered food worth almost $75 only to throw them out. Sinigang pork should be called sinigang eggplant bec there's more eggplant & 1 tiny piece of pork, $20+/order good for 2. Mind you, it doesn't even come with rice!
Ordered dinuguan also for $20+/order. What we got was a small container that is not even half full & contained water & no meat. Dinuguan is supposed to be black & the container is black but the contents is not. Bbq is for $6+ that didn't look as if it's been grilled but rather just cooked in a microwave, still raw & tasted sour kinda like a spoiled sour taste. Turon didn't even have caramelized sugar on the outside, $3/order & is even smaller than my pinky finger.
Leche flan has seen better days, might have been shipped from the Philippines bec it looks very haggard. I still have some other complaints but not enough space to write everything. I don't know how people stay in business. I know everybody needs money but atleast try to give your customers good food. If you're being honest with yourselves you know that your food is not good. Why not go back & reevaluate your menu & your style/taste in cooking before you start serving food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really wanted to like this place. Thereās not many Filipino places around and since it was recommended by a co-worker I gave it a try.
I should mention that I heard no frying but only opening/closing and beeping of the microwave. We got lechon kawali and goat stew. (Note: pictures on the menu were awesome, but didnāt serve what was in the pictures at all). The sauce for the lechon was kikkoman soy sauce with some vinegar and water - NO other seasonings, no garlic pieces, nothing. The rice was room temperature - which let me know that thereās not even a rice cooker on site because thereās NO WAY you should ever serve rice that isnāt steaming. There was no āblowingā of our food except for when the goat stew came out (which shouldāve been called garbanzo bean stew). Thatās just the food. The owner practically yelled at the server like she was her child (and believe me, she clearly isnāt her child). Granted she made mistakes but if a boss spoke to me in that manner, weād have some issues.
The one star was for her periodic friendliness and the free dessert to take home. Unfortunately, I do not...

I am Filipina American myself. I came to the the MW from the westcoast myself for personal reasons. Itās been 7 years since I have been able to find friends of my own kind. Iāve been to restaurants only made for a certain crowd and for ethical lawsuit reasons. It wasnāt close to my cultural dishes. Iām a busy lady and sometimes I canāt always cook myself.

This restaurant has authentic Filipino foods. But, tailored and designed to be settled with the eyes. Itās made just to be soft on the eyes but, made by real Filipino people. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was back into my hometown in San Diego, it just felt like at home. I almost cried.
A woman I donāt even know is already like my auntie and she will make you feel just at home too. Already, I made friends, I felt more welcomed and appreciated.
If youāre full, HALF or a quarterāplease, please stop by at this restaurant!!!! Itās like a warp drive into the Philippines or, a Filipino-Owned, California restaurant. This is just only the beginning for the future in...
