We had been wanting to try out Craft House At Corque for some time, but the only thing we got out of it was the future knowledge that we won't return. I always try to be fair with my reviews, so let's start with the good: Great ambiance! Especially at holiday time. When we checked it, we were lead to believe that the desk/waiting list was well organized and were met by a very pleasant host who told us that it would be a 15 minute wait to be seated "so that the kitchen wouldn't get behind". Sounds great! 15 minutes went by and they sat us when they said they would. Table was nice... again, ambiance was nice. Our server seemed very pleasant... I had high hopes.

The prices for what you get are VERY high. The children's menu is tiny (literally chicken fingers, grilled cheese, and -very bad/basic- pizza). Our kids had their heart set on burgers, but not only is there no burger on the menu, but the only burger in the whole place (I was told before hand you could get burgers here) was a $40 wagyu beef burger. Yes, it's true, I should have done more research, but the prices are really high here for what you're getting. My wife ordered the curry with chicken (mid twenties I think) and while it was good... it was quite tiny... the size or a cup of soup. Not a bowl, a cup. My prime $50 prime rib was good... but being keto, it was really the only thing I could get that would be filling for the price. I wasn't going to spend $40 on a burger without the bun and where I couldn't eat a number of other things that came with it.

Now for the worst of it... the waitress said she'd get the "kids" orders in early since the kitchen was running a little slow. We had four kids with us. The two who ordered chicken fingers go there's pretty soon... but then the rest of the food came out nearly an hour later... except for the 3 year old who was with us who ordered a pizza that they just forgot the order. Part of the problem was that they had multiple people waiting on our table. The person bringing the food had no idea about the pizza order, while our actual waitress was confused why we were upset thinking it just came out a bit late instead of the reality of having to reorder it because she didn't put the order in.

Now I'm sure at this point of my review, I'm going to get different reactions from those with children and those without. Imagine getting 2 of the 4 children's orders early... one an hour later, and one well over an hour later because they didn't PLACE the order until an hour later. There are NO winners here... you have two hungry kids upset that their food isn't there... but then you had two kids done their meals and ready to go and not understanding why they have to hang out for another 90 minutes. Then the kid who didn't get his meal, fills up on French fries of everyone else and doesn't eat his pizza by the time it gets out. It's chaos! It's hard. And if you have kids, the Craft House just isn't for you.

We left feeling really ripped off in every way. Going out to eat is an investment in having a good time and we spent nearly $200 EACH (there were two families - just three adults) and we would have had a better time pretty literally anywhere else. We got to Solvang often and were excited to try and find a new place to eat... but rest assured, we won't be back and you shouldn't try it either. Don't let the great location and charm of the ambiance fool you. If money and time is no object and you don't have kids... that's the only folks I would recommend...

Me and my friends out in solvang for a night Over to celebrate yours truly for my birthday. We were wondering were to go for dinner. Not realizing most everything closes early. Which we are use to coming from a small town. So we are staying next door at the Corque Hotel. When we walked in, we noticed every table outside had fire...it was beautiful, the atmosphere. The company. The staff were so nice, they even brought me a delicious treat for me bday. Me and my friend order the craft burger with fries and side salad both so delicious. Especially the fries..one of my friends ordered the short rib grilled cheese..omg..amazing. the other ordered the salmon. The flourless chocolate cake, is so delicate and dreamy. The chai tea turamsu..was served in a chocolate edible cup..what the...oh my so creative and yummy to the senses. We also decided to come the following day for lunch...yes that good..come over and try for uour self...Happy hour everyday except holidays..3 to 530. We got burgers again, the only bit i have to say the burgers a bit chard tasting, but they are beautiful to make it better and so they did. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, so delightful. But the main ultimate yummy fest...the sweet and sour cauliflower, can i drop the mic on this...oh my..oh my...$10 happy hour, dinner $17 or 18...its on the pricy side of things, but not to bad..the quality and quanity are worth it...come taste for yourselves...maybe one day ill...

The food is great but I had to knock one star off due to the fact that my husband's dish needed more salt which is saying a lot because he typically doesn't add much to his cooking and I'm the one who usually adds more. They don't have salt and pepper at the table since they're going for a fancy vibe. Unfortunately our waitress hardly waited on us and we had to ask the guy cleaning the tables for the salt in order for my husband to eat his meat before it got cold. Our waitress wasn't very friendly nor welcoming and I don't think she deserved the tip she got. I tipped in the hopes that the cleaning crew gets a share since they were doing all of the heavy lifting that night. It wasn't busy at all due to the rainy weather so better service was definitely expected. Our waitress was heavily pregnant and didn't look happy to be there... still, work is work having been there and done that. The lavender lemonade was great but I wasn't expecting to be charged the full price for a refill at $7 for a basic mason jar size non alcoholic drink. That is a stretch for there are far more expensive restaurants who don't charge up the bill like that. Still the food was good so I would recommend the place in the hopes that they up their service...

First off, we loved this restaurant! Wonderful decor. Expansive, yet, cozy and inviting. Even the rest rooms give you the feeling of casual elegance. The bar is over twenty feet long, and appeared to be well stocked and seats are accommodatingly spaced. Plenty of indoor seating options, bar, high tables and chairs, booths and lower tables and chairs. Plus, there is an expansive outdoor, heated patio with umbrellas. Thursday, early evening, and there was a musician setting up on the patio! Our server couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. We had the Bianco pizza, the crust was perfection and the toppings all were high quality and tasty. The Wedge Salad had plenty of bacon bits and blue cheese crumbles to keep it interesting. The crispy Brussels sprouts were tasty, plenty of garlic, but a little bit too soggy because it appeared the kitchen applied too much olive oil. Considering the upscale type of restaurant and cuisine, the bill was not outrageous. One might even say that by ordering off the Happy Hour menu, it was quite reasonable. ( I noted that we saved about $10 , compared to the regular menu prices.) But, even the regular menu was not over the top on prices. I definitely will return, the next time we are in town!

We had an amazing dinner out on their gorgeous patio surrounded by fires, great company and live music. This spot was truly a gem. Our waiter, Jeremy was wonderful and made the experience memorable. We loved all his dining recommendations. We started with the burrata and the Brussels and both were to die for! We had an assortment of entrees: the prosciutto and burrata pizza, the prime rib dip and the grilled cheese! All were amazing, and they would have been easy to split. We tried the flourless chocolate cake and the beignets for dessert, don’t skip either of these. Yes, order both. The specialty cocktails were all amazing. Truly, everything we had was worth coming in for! The atmosphere is a plus. The patio is beautiful, the personal fire pits take the chill out of the wind and we enjoyed the live music. It was a great spot to hang out and enjoy a vacation with friends!
