The Right Gift — Local services in Solvang

My wife and I visited this souvenir shop, and unfortunately, we had a negative experience with one of the staff member (in the picture). While my wife was browsing the sweaters, the staff member stood nearby, watching closely in a way that felt uncomfortable. When my wife decided not to purchase a sweater, she folded it back neatly and returned it to its place. Immediately after, the staff member rudely grabbed the sweater, and when my wife commented on the behavior, the staff responded dismissively with, 'Whatever.' Additionally, we noticed the staff warmly greeted other customers but did not extend the same courtesy to us when we entered. This treatment left us feeling unwelcome and singled out, which was disappointing. The Right Gift is one of a few gift shops in Solvang. It is in a building made to look like a windmill. Inside are typical items you would expect to see in a souvenir shop: t-shirts, magnets, shot glasses, postcards, picture frames, stuffed toy animals, keychains, sweaters, games. The only complaint I have is the old white employed at this shop. I was returning to make another purchase, decided to leave empty handed due to how rude and unprofessional she was. When I was creating my bracelet she shoved the charm drawer shut on me. Seemed racist, sad for the owners as she ran a paying customer away. We the tourist is why she has a job.
