Great place to see a play, or concert! The PCPA is located in Solvang, basically within walking distance of the public parking lots. **Word of advice, if you haven't been before, bring a jacket, a warm blanket, and wear warm clothes. It may be warm in the day, but as soon as the sun goes down, believe me, you'll freeze! They do allow you to rent a blanket ($3), but it wasn't very warm. You may order food while you wait to go in. They have a wonderful "picnic" area while you wait before the show. The tickets are pretty reasonable. I was blessed, my friend gave me two tickets, still, definitely worth the price. We saw the musical, In To The Woods. It was EXCELLENT!! It's a musical. The actors were so good, and we were riveted. All in all a stellar experience! We had a wonderful dinner at Whiskey & Rye, and we went wine tasting at Dana V. Awesome night!!

went to the kit kat klub the other night (cabaret) and it was so amazing! cabaret is my number one show so I was pretty hyped to see it and it absolutely lived up to my expectations, couldn't ask for anything better. the choreo was so compelling, the directing was great and they casted perfectly. I'm going to see it again too on sunday! it's really cool they have an outdoor theatre, as well as an indoor one! (in different places) the actors in the shows I've seen are amazing, a really professional theatre company. the actors really put all their time and hard work into the shows. if you're thinking about going to a show, go to pcpa, but be respectful of the people around you and the performers. :) also the food was fire

I've seen number of different plays and musicals here over the years and I invariably have a good time. It's a great place to see local theater. It is not Broadway, and doesn't try to be. The actors are enjoyable and endearing and the sets are typically inventive and interesting. Both the Santa Maria and Solvang theater settings are in the half round so there are very few poor seats. If you end up at the outdoor Solvang theater, I would highly recommend you bring a jacket, sweater, or blanket to keep you warm--even on warm summer days it can cool off quickly.

I love the outdoor theater in Solvang. Every seat has a great view of the stage, except maybe the very edge on each side of the stage. The actors and whole production are always excellent and professional. Parking is on the street and available, you may have to walk a short block if Solvang is busy, but parking is not a problem if you arrive early. There are picnic tables available if you would like to bring your own food and picnic before the play. Food, snacks and beverages are sold at the venue. Also seat pads and blankets are available for rent for a small fee. The venue has a casual cozy hometown feel. We have been attending PCPA plays for over 25 years and just love their productions! The sets, lighting, costumes, writing, direction, actors, choreography are all superb! PCPA productions...

The outdoor setting of the PCPA theater in Solvang CA is highly enjoyable. The stage is on the smaller side which means even when seated in either of the far edges of the stage you are still able to see the majority of the performance. There is a cozy seating area outside of the theater where Patrick s can enjoy food, beverages or a lovely glass of wine with friends and or family before the show. I was fortunate enough this year to see the live performance of Mamma Mia which was phenomenal! If given the opportunity to see it done I again I will surely be purchasing tickets and as a local college student the 40% discount is an extra incentive to see as many shows a year as possible. I loved the performance, the setting, the atmosphere and the extremely helpful ushers. I can't wait...
