The only reason I have rated this fine establishment 4 stars is the frustration at the beginning. The experience started out great with a friendly message explaining the importance of contacting them because of this hotel being an “invisible” hotel. After calling and getting the explanation of how the hotel works, they were going to email a welcome letter to me. After the very pleasant exchange, I went to my job site where there is no cell reception. Not until I showed up at the hotel did I realize that I never received the email. Now, I am scouring emails, junk mail, secure email. I did not find any email, so how do I get in now? There’s no front desk to go to. I texted the staff by responding to the text message they sent me. There was no response. I ended up calling them and found that my email was taken down incorrectly, so they resent the email to me. Got it! After getting the email, my patience was very small, so I saw the code and headed up to the room. NOTE to those who may stay here: read the welcome email. After blindly making my way to the 1st floor door, I guessed which way I should put the code in. Then I fumbled my way to my room and again fumbled putting in the code. If I would have read the email in it entirety, I could have avoided this further frustration. Finally in my room, I could take in the beauty of the emerald green color in my room. The sound machine was on playing wild bird sounds. Almost an instant calming feeling. The room was very clean and very expansive. The shower is exquisite. The bed was comfortable. As I headed down stairs to the pub for dinner (I would suggest you visit if you stay here. Great food, service and atmosphere), I was then able to take in the vibrant colors of the entry and the beauty of the building. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I would definitely also recommend that you read the welcome letter in...
Read moreNice, clean accomodations. This is a new hotel and it shows. The rooms (bed, floor, bathroom) were all stylish and luxurious. It was quite impressive.
The check in process was simple and contactless. We made the reservations over the phone and were contaced by the manager, who advised us on the details for check in. I received an email with the details and was provided with a code to access the secure hotel and our room. This was a completely different and new experience but safe, reasonable and progressive, considering the pandemic.
The customer service was excellent. Although minimal staff were onsite during regular business hours (8 am - 5 pm), we didn't find this to be an inconvenience because everything was already on site. There was even an honor bar where you would take/purchase whatever you wanted and declare it on a list and leave it in your room to be billed after check out.
We were also served a complimentary light continental breakfast, croissants, fruit, juice and coffee. Brought to our room via contactless delivery.
Teresa was extremely professional and accommodating, granting us the late check out and also allowing our car to remain parked until after we had lunch and well after we checked out. Excellent customer service from start to finish.
I highly recommend this hotel. It's conveniently located in the heart of Solvang, luxurious accommodations and excellent customer service. It was pricey but...
Read moreI reserved two rooms for two couples. Check in is via code. Contact with Hotel if via email, text or phone, or if you happen to see employees on site. Code to enter room is sent via email, day of arrival. Rooms were spacious, and nicely painted. Probably best hotel shower that I have used. Beds were very comfortable. Took a while to find rooms, better signage should be posted. My room was noisy during the day, as it was above a pub, but nice and quiet during the night. HVAC system was very user friendly, and I set the fan speed at night to low so it was a pleasant white noise.|Negatives: I took a shower afternoon of arrival. Received a knock on the door, I was still clothless, so maintenance man came back in 20 minutes. Apparently water had leaked from my shower drain to the floor below. I would have taken a shower the next morning, but didn't fearful of more leaking. skylight had shades that operated mechanically, but one didn't work so my wife woke up earlier than she would have liked with the sun shining in her face. Carpets have seen better days. No kind of breakfast is served or vouchers with local vendors, like many hotels in Solvang do. I paid more than I ever have for a hotel in Solvang, and it wasn't even a weekend night. I probably will not...
