McDonald's — Restaurant in South Lake Tahoe

This was the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to. We are staying at the hotel in the parking lot and I thought it would be a convenience but definitely was NOT! I went there myself for breakfast and the cashier was a young man with a lanyard with keys hanging out of his pocket. He helped everyone in front of me and when I walked up he immediately got on his phone and didn’t say “Hi” or anything. I gave him my order and he acted annoyed that I was even there. My food took over 15 minutes and this location doesn’t even have a drive thru and it wasn’t that crowded. Today because of having a young daughter we just wanted something quick for lunch and thought we would try again. My husband went inside and it was the same guy at the counter and he was rude again! My husband used the kiosk to order but it didn’t print a receipt so he went to the counter to ask for a copy and he just said “it doesn’t always print.” And walked away!…. My husband was shocked. It took over 20 minutes to get our food and we only ordered two meals! The fries were cold and chewy and our burgers were barely hot. The entire experience was horrible and the food was not even hot or edible! Very disappointing and they should fire that kid working as the cashier. Not...

I stopped by for a quick lunch after a day out on the lake. The technology was very frustrating during this visit. My App wasn’t letting me place a dine-in order so I went to the kiosk. When I tried placing an order there I was getting an error. Now I usually put tech issues on me as user error, but in this case it was an issue.

Now this might not have anything to do with this location’s rating. I did end up placing an order with the cashier which was good, but she was a little unsure how to take a payment. Because I used an App deal she made me use the credit card on file, but wasn’t sure if it worked or not. I took my table number and beverage cup and took a seat.

The food was not prepared correctly. Big Mac’s are the signature item for McDonald’s so when you don’t make it correctly it’s easy to notice. There was WAY too much sauce and the meat was not really hot; lukewarm. They also brought out another beverage which was okay by me, but don’t they always give a beverage cup to every guest? The best part of McDonald’s is the fries and they were good.

Overall an average experience. They might have been having an off day so I will eat...

They messed up my entire order. Pro: The food was fresh. The tables were clean. Bathroom clean. The cashiers were friendly. Honestly, I'm sure they make most of their money from tourists. It's like the only reasonably priced restaurant for breakfast. The lines were long, but the cashiers work FAST so it didn't take long to place an order. The cooks work FAST as well so I got my food in a jiffy, I was surprised. Con: No drive thru. Also, if my order is $50 I'd hope for at least ONE of my burgers to be correct. I ordered 10 standard menu breakfast burgers and some hash browns, drinks, coffees, etc. I didn't alter anything, but not 1 of my burgers were correct. It's was fast, but very wrong. We decided to just dine in and leave. In fact, one of my burgers wasn't even in the bag. I was going to walk out without it but there was a homeless man outside the door with a sign.
