This was the worst service I’ve ever seen. I have never had to write a review before, but this was just terrible. I went to this Chipotle June 5th at 4:30pm. I was super excited to go with my father but I ended up not even receiving my order.
Once we got there, it was extremely hot. There was no AC or fans or anything. However I ignored that and ordered. This girl with a red high bun didn’t great me or anything. She was zombie-like and was not welcoming at all. She wouldn’t look at me, speak up, or ask what I wanted. She didn’t have a friendly look on her face at all which made me feel uncomfortable like I was annoying her. At this point I already wanted to leave. I asked for rice, and it was out. Which I didn’t think too much about. However, when I asked for some, she didn’t tell me someone was going to make some more, instead she just pointed to the man in the back who was making some. Once the rice was made, I asked for steak which was out too. Once again, she never asked me if I’d like any meat, vegetables, beans, anything. Like every Chipotle worker should do. The beans and toppings looked like they were sitting there for days it actually looked disgusting.
This was when things got bad. The lady told me that the man in the back was going to cut up some steak for me. So I sat down and waited patiently. After around 15 minutes, my father asked if the steak was being made since the man put something on the grill. Turns out the man was putting chicken on the grill instead and was on his phone. I thought this was strange because no one asked for chicken, I was the only one waiting for my steak. Once my father asked for steak instead, the lady with the red bun told me again he’d cut it up. However there was no communication whatsoever. The cashier had to ask the man to make some steak, however he never told me that he would make some. Instead he silently told the cashier which had to tell me. Meanwhile, another worker was swearing and didn’t even try to help out or say that the steak was on its way. I understand it was her first day at work, but I think anyone could have done better than her at this job.
I ended up just taking my mother’s order and left without mine since they made zero effort to cook the steak. No apology, no “thank you” nothing. Everyone just did not care. I completely understand if someone is having a bad day, and it was extremely hot, but I wasn’t even given the bare minimum. I shouldn’t even have left with that one order though and gave money to that business. Please do not waste your time at this Chipotle and go to the Enfield one instead where people actually take pride in their work and are friendly. Read moreThis is not an exaggeration. These bad reviews are real. I had a terrible experience and I walked out the first time. I tried this chipotle after it had opened at Evergreen walk what ever months ago. Whoever the young man was that was working on making the bowls and the meals for people he for the couple ahead of me couldn’t fold a burrito and preform that order for it seemed about 10 to 12 minutes which seems almost impossible given nothing was being cooked for them as they weren’t waiting off to the side for the back of house to finish. When I thought about how long I was waiting for this ridiculously understaffed unmanaged untrained crew of it seemed about two people, I refused to wait any longer as I realized he was either intoxicated or too high and too incompetent to perform the job duties satisfactory at all. This is after I’ve already waited in line about 15 minutes getting up there not realizing the situation was that bad. Fast-forward to about a week or so ago I stopped in there again not seeing that same person in the front so I had hoped that things would be better. The cashier with possibly red hair, Wouldn’t look customers in the eyes and speak up and be formally professional in many regard and it was evident and a little bit unsettling to guests. Furthermore many items weren’t ready, and I asked for fajita vegetables and they gave them to me finally after they had hurried a new batch, which was rushed off the grill, and were to my surprise later literally half cooked and VERY over seasoned with something that was a sizable out of the ordinary sort of herb that I haven’t noticed before in that way, thus over seasoned as well as it was undercooked, and it was disgusting. I had to re-cook it when I got home in a stirfry to settle the flavors with some butter and break down the vegetables.
The Hail Rd. Manchester location is at certain times of the day (Dinner hours last time I went) from my experience almost worse with some of the most strange and unenthusiastic employees that I’ve ever ordered from any chipotle. These two locations are truly lacking from almost every other location that Ive been to in the last 10 plus years. Please someone from corporate get on this or phone calls and emails will start getting made straight to your offices. Bad look for Manchester but specifically it’s a bad look for South Windsor Evergreen Walk. If regional doesn’t pay attention to their reviews and status of each location, then you can get your business up out of here and we can replace you with something that’s formidable for the demographic and our exchange of...
Read more6/5/25 Visited at 5:00 PM STAY AWAY! Store was dirty, full of rude and incompetent staff that clearly didn't want to be there, out of all meat (except honey chicken), out of white rice, black beans, onions/peppers, you name it. The line was a mess and looked dirty, which was interesting because it was very slow which would normally allow staff to tidy up.. However, the zombie-like employees just stood there behind the line like everything was clean, stocked, and ready for service. Staff was either blind or didn't care. No communication among staff, nobody moving around doing their jobs, knowing it's 5:00 pm, dinner time. Just Zombies with attitude standing still behind their stations doing absolutely nothing. Also, trash was noticeably full and outside patio was a mess with napkins etc. all over the ground
6 staff all standing around, clueless, no manger in sight to reign them in. The staff alone makes you just want to cancel your order. Thinking of eating anything made by these employees turned my stomach and I began to think about just leaving. Still, I waited 30 mins for my order which I never received (wanted steak bowl but nobody would cut up the steak for the line). Keep in mind, nobody else is in the store but me. I waited for 30 mins in an empty store with the staff behind the line acting as if I wasn't even there. Finally, I asked how much longer to "cut up the steak". My bowl had now been sitting on the line for a half hour! RT ThisChipolte has all the potential in the world to be a gold mine given it's prime location...Evergreen Walk, South Windsor! Sadly, this is never going to happen given the obvious lack of proper management and staffing. The staff is currently running this location unchecked and that's never a best practice...
