Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in South Windsor

My girlfriend and I visited this location on opening day in the evening time - the line was relatively long but was moving at a decent pace considering the hiccups that typically come with an opening day.

Once inside we were excited to see all the options that we had and we were able to make up our minds in time before it was our turn.

The gentleman helping us was very nice despite the pressures of the long line that seemed to never end and my girlfriend and I were able to sample a couple of different flavors to see what our base would be. They had a traditional Indian Kulfi flavor with cardamom and saffron that was very good, but ultimately I decided on the Vanilla Lite and her on the Sweet Cream.

I was hoping to get the Germanchocolatecake flavor on the poster near the door but the gentleman informed me it was a discontinued flavor but he would still make it for me - it had pecans, caramel, coconut, and brownies. I swapped the pecans for chocolate shavings to make it more like a Samoa cookie and it came out amazing!

Cold Stone @ South Windsor turns CHAOS into CHARM!!!!!!

Even with a line stretching out the door, Cold Stone pulled it off like pros. The team moved things along so quickly that I barely had time to decide between my favorites—and that’s saying something when you’re faced with their legendary menu. The staff were an absolute delight: friendly, upbeat, and genuinely enjoying what they do, which made the whole place feel like it was buzzing with good vibes.

As for the ice cream? Cold Stone is the spot we all crave, and for good reason. I went all out and ordered four different items just to spoil myself—but the one that blew everything else away was their signature Founder’s Favorite. Rich, creamy, perfectly mixed, and balanced with all the right textures—it’s not just good, it’s a masterpiece. Every bite reminded me why this flavor is in a league of its own.

Cold Stone never misses, but this visit to South Windsor was next level. Fast service, amazing staff, lines moving lightning speed and that unforgettable ice cream magic. I’ll be back—probably sooner than I should..

came in around 2pm with a friend, and was exceptionally disappointed at the lack of customer service. despite the fact that we were the only customers in the store and there were 3 employees behind the counter, we were barely acknowledged. we got "we'll help you in a minute" from one of the employees, and then were promptly ignored for a solid 10 minutes before we determined that it was no longer worth the wait. i'd have understood a wait if there were many other customers in the store, if there were very few employees, or even if there was a sudden influx of online orders, but there was no hustle from these employees, and even if there were online orders, they should've prioritized the customers in front of them lol. they just stood around while we waited. unfortunately will not be trying...
