Rocket Bakery — Restaurant in Spokane

This place is usually ok, but this most recent visit I don’t think I want to come back. Nearly every barista that works there is snobby, they are unwelcoming and act like you’re wasting their time. Not only this visit, but other visits and other baristas as well. I always tip and am polite so this really makes no sense, but the turnover there is quite frequent so maybe that’s why, new hires don’t realize they’re working in customer service.

The coffees we got today were extremely lack luster, the mocha was literally horrible and the temp was luke warm, we tossed the whole thing after two attempts to drink it. The iced coffee was 80% ice, flavor ok, but the 2 bagels we got were both somehow bad as well. One bagel wasn’t hot, and the other was burned? It made no sense. Not to mention the barista handled our bagels with her bare hands after and while touching the register. I’m not sure what’s happened to this place but every visit in the last 6 months has been steadily declining. A real shame cause I used to love grabbing a drink and food here. Don’t...

I went to Rocket Bakery on 1st and Cedar today for the first time in years and after the food I had today I don't think I'll be back again for food anytime soon. On the positive side, Service was great and the staff was friendly. Location was clean. Free Wi-Fi. It was great right up until I tasted the food we ordered. I've had better food while camping. Clam chowder with the worst clam chowder I've had in recent memory. Overly thick and fairly tasteless. The quiche was a complete fail. Also had no taste.

I didn't try their sandwiches and maybe they are better, but for coffee and food I'll stick to my usual location. Let's hope that you just had a new cook something. I was there this morning for a business meeting when all the sudden I became very confused and lightheaded. Luckily the person I was with acted fast and asked the staff for a cold compress and water. Once I could no longer keep myself up right, I laid on the floor and started shaking. The staff talked calmly to me and got a blanket to cushion my head and ice to cool my core temperature while my friend called 911 and we waited for the ambulance. Turns out my blood sugar went down to 42 all the sudden. I truly believe I would have tried to drive home if it weren't for my friend and the staff at Rocket and this could have gone a completely different way.
